Described as Tasmanian Gothic Trad Jazz, Saucy Jack features the Leather Apron Horns, bouncing banjo and thumping sousaphone. Whatever your event, Saucy Jack bring their trademark wit and energy, superlative musicianship and are suitable for all ...ages. Bar & Kitchen opens from 7:30pm, closes at 10pm. 23.01.2022 Tomorrow 5pm - Singer/Songwriter Lucien Simon is joined by poet extraordinnaire Duncan Hose, percussionist/vocalist/Yogi Koko Flow and singer/songwriter Baile Jackson for an intersection of music, words, mantra, creation, dissection, food, drinks, introspection and merriment. Rather than sit alone on the stage and sing his stories to life Lucien has invited friends and lovers to share a special moment together. Koko will harmonise with djembe and voice.... Bailey will join Lucien on stage and share a couple of his tunes and Duncan will read from his recently published astonishing anthology of poetry 'The Jewelled Shillelagh'. Stick around for some yummy food, cocktails, drinks !

11.01.2022 Tomorrow 1-3pm, James Gath on piano @providence_cafe ! James began playing piano at the age of 16 and immediately took a liking to the music of Bach, Mozart and especially Chopin and Alkan, composers with whom he has a strong affinity. In 2010, he was awarded the Don Kay Scholarship for piano and was accepted into the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music where he studied under Shan Deng and David Bollard. James regularly performs in Hobart and remains active as a teacher.

01.01.2022 For our Sunday Arvo session this week, we will have Montz Matsumoto playing banjo at Providence cafe from 1-3pm! If you haven’t heard about Montz.. he was born in a small village in Japan and started to learn Bluegrass banjo from the age of 15. Touring regularly with Sydney based Hillbilly Pop band ‘The Pigs’ performing at many festivals including Tamworth Country Music Festival, the Port Fairy Folk Festival, the Gympie Muster and the Blue Mountains Music Festival. Touri...ng regularly with Pete Denahy. Leading Tasmania based Alternative Bluegrass Band Voicestrings, performing at MONA museum, Cygnet Folk Festival. Recording artist for various musicians including John Williamson and The Borderers. We have all-day menu, sweet & savoury treats, coffees, booze available until 3pm!
