19.01.2022 Watching a news item on conservation my thoughts turned to a wonderful part of the world, the Serengeti National Park. The movie (and book) Serengeti Shall Not Die from the late 1950s were likely one of the first steps towards protecting this wonderful and unique environment. It is possibly the best wildlife reserve in Africa and possibly the world. The reserve is located in northern Tanzania and has been a World Heritage Site since 1981. It is most famous for its annual migration of over one and a half million wilderbeast and 250,000 zebra. 02.01.2022 The world around us is full of beauty. Here is a sunset at 4000 metres on Mount Scratchley in Papua New Guinea. Breathtaking scenery as well. Take some warm clothing if you ever wish to go there, it does get cold.
