At our recent Safety Day, the team was asked to put forward suggestions on how to improve safety on site. Congratulations to Jayden Parker, who received the Safety Star award after submitting one of the best ideas. Lachlan Jefferies, a member of the Maintenance team also received a special award. 19.01.2022 Last Friday the HR & HSE team at our site in Dee Why, hosted a Safety Day for all employees. The aim of the day was to get everyone thinking about the different ways they can ensure their own safety at work, and also the safety of their work mates. The day kicked off with an introduction from Director of HSE, Quality, Engineering and R&D, Sam Finocchiaro - who shared some statistics which highlighted the importance of safe work practices, and prioritising health. The first s...ession of the day began with a discussion on Mental Health, led by a guest Psychologist. This was followed by a demonstration of correct manual handling techniques, and the effect strain has on the body. The last session was run by a Personal Trainer, who got everyone up off their seats to practice workplace stretches. The team then played a quick game, where in order to win a prize they had to correctly answer questions regarding safety, including identifying safety hazards within a workplace setting. Before heading out for lunch, CEO, Hamavand Shroff, encouraged everyone to look out for themselves and each other, expressing that there is ample support on offer for those who need it.
