25.01.2022 Season Greetings

23.01.2022 Happiness is a wonderful feeling..we all want to feel happy and yet realities of life tell us happiness is the most difficult emotional goal to reach.

23.01.2022 What an interesting idea to practice. Let"s start from ourself: what have I done, and how did I engage in life today , rather than what others have done for me today?

22.01.2022 BOYS DON'T CRY!!!! And yet men suffer from depression, anxiety, and loss, feeling of being inadequate, financial and relationship issues, work related stress, role changes,..... Have we ever thought what we teach our children ? Boys don't cry? Are we saying boys are not allowed to feel painful emotions or express their emotions? Are we saying it is a sign of weakness to feel our feelings? Lets learn how to help our children to connect with their emotions and create an environment where it is OK to say " I am feeling sad, or angry, annoyed, hurt, anxious, lost,confused,....".Feelings are meant to be felt. Teachers and parents need to nurture these skills. We all need to learn how...

17.01.2022 "You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf" Kabat-Zinn 2004. Life teaches us that future is not entirely predictable and sooner or later we experience difficult thoughts and feelings: natural disasters, accidents, illness, death, loss, set backs, making choices, challenges, financial and relationship issues, ...... All of these bring painful experiences. And not all of these, can be avoided. Just like waves, we can not stop these emotions/thoughts, but we can learn... to surf. Surfing our waves of feelings and thoughts need skills development and lots of practice. And if are ready, be willing to reach out and seek professional support. See more

16.01.2022 The future depends on what we do in present. What makes the life worth living and how can we build it.

14.01.2022 "Be yourself, everyone else is taken", Oscar Wilde. We all try at some stage to be someone who we are not, or perhaps we try to act or perform like someone else. And yet, we forget to notice, everyone has unique qualities that make them who they are. No one is perfect. Just be yourself..

13.01.2022 Social Distancing or Physical Distancing? You hear a lot these days about COVID-19 and how to prepare our community members to deal with this widespread virus. Among so many good pieces of advice including cleaning hands, covering your mouth when coughing/sneezing, avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth,...is doing something called 'social distancing'..in reality, we have been advised to keep distance from others (1.5m)...Practicing social distancing is not aimed at isolating ...ourselves or is not about withdrawing socially. Human beings need to remain in contact with others socially...Current technologies allow us to still practice social connecting (socialising/communicating) with others. Social engaging is one of the core aspects of human life.. Evolution has taught us that we can not survive without being together. Perhaps we need to use the word ' physical distancing ' to clarify the new buzzword " Social Distancing". Please practice Physical Distancing these days. It can save lives.. See more

09.01.2022 It is ok to HAVE a FEELING, and NOT to be that FEELING; And it is ok to HAVE a THOUGHT, and NOT to be that THOUGHT. Sounds strange, isn't it? 'People often struggle with their difficult feelings and thoughts, and these could be related to what we do, what we say, and what we hear, and what we see. Even our memories don't leave us alone and they take us to places where we feel sad, upset, hurt, scared, rejected, angry, anxious,..... What have you tried so far with these unpleasant feelings? too difficult, they keep coming back, feeling drained while trying to do something about these feelings/thoughts?All we know, fighting with these, may not work. Perhaps, we may try something else.. What about learning to having a feeling/thought as a way of coping/managing with our feeling, instead of fighting with them..

09.01.2022 Life is a journy we all have to go on and it is filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination. We know that the road will not always be smooth and sometimes we need to be guided through how to deal with challanges in life.

08.01.2022 Being minfull vs full of mind: this is the reason why the dog is happier than his owner. Have you ever noticed that just sitting on a couch or driving, and not knowing where your mind has taken you? We need to learn to just be here and now; and NOT to mind our mind when we need to.

08.01.2022 It's R. YOU. OK? Day! It’s a day of connecting with others; a day of reminding us to ask others, Are you OK? if someone you know is struggling with life events, s/he need to feel they are not alone. Caring for self, loved ones and our colleagues improves our health and wellbeing. It only takes a moment to make a difference by asking Are you OK?. ... And, we can do more! Listen with full presence and compassion, and let them know you are there for them. Encourage them to seek professional help. See more

02.01.2022 Do you need to see a psychologist? How do you know it is time to see a therapist? Most people tend to do their best to solve their problems or find a way to cope with their struggle. This is how we build resilience in life. Talking to family members, friends, colleagues, learning from each other; surfing the internet; watching you tube; diving into social media; and reading self help resources. Yet, there are times we all feel stuck, trapped, and it seems there is no way ou...t. And that is time to see a psychologist who is trained to help you navigate through life events and support you to make positive changes. Life is like a journey, and you can be the driver of your life, and not just a passenger where you are not in control. Living life requires making choices and taking risks. Participating in a psychology session is challenging and it CAN change and save lives. See more
