20.01.2022 We have moved back to face to face services consistent with isolation step downs. You can however choose online services if you prefer. Online doesn’t have to be only for isolation purposes, it can just be to minimise travel if you live a fair distance outside of Tamworth.
20.01.2022 Choosing a psychologist to work with can be challenging. For the therapy to be effective the psychologist and client need to be able to form an alliance or relationship. The psychologist needs to have the clinical skills to support you with your particular presenting problem. There are also practical considerations like access and cost, fees vary and don’t always reflect the APS recommended rates, particularly in rural areas. We are happy to answer questions you might have, just send us a message. https://theconversation.com/what-makes-a-good-psychologist-
18.01.2022 No tissues? No problem. Fresh new hankies that you can keep when you come and see us. Hand sanitizer for your use too. We can also provide services online if that’s more comfortable. We’re here for you.
15.01.2022 The bushfires this season have impacted all of us in some way. Medicare has recently announced increased and easier access to rebated mental health services. To ensure that our community obtains the support they need to get through and recover from this crisis, you can access these services without having to first obtain a mental health care plan from your GP. This support is in addition to that already available through a mental health care plan and is available until December 2021. If you live in a remote area these services can be provided by phone or internet. All you need to do is contact the provider of mental health services and help them understand how the bushfires have impacted upon your mental health. If you are attending in person, prior to commencing your session, you will be required to apply hand sanitiser. It is recommended that you reapply it before you depart. The doors to therapy rooms will be opened for you to minimise the need to touch anything. Heavy contact surfaces are being sanitised in the building regularly. If we are aware that you are at increased risk, we will decline to see you face to face and move you to online or phone services. If you are choosing to distance, stay home and stay safe, then we can still utilise online or phone services. Staying mentally well is important while we work through the viral crisis.

We provide sound, ethical, compassionate, adaptive and flexible psychological services in child and family mental health. We have our own fields of specialised training and experience, as well as overlapping and intersecting areas of common interest. We hold special interest in reparative therapeutic work with children, adolescents, couples and fami...lies affected by day to day stressors, adverse events and psychological trauma. Our service is adaptive to your individual circumstances and that supports interdisciplinary care where needed. Each practitioner at ‘Psychology at 108’ is an independent provider of psychological services. We welcome opportunities to work collaboratively with other like-minded practitioners and agencies with similar aims. Appointments with either Jodi or Quentin are available from February 3rd, 2020. Send us a message if you would like to book or find out more.
