16.01.2022 Tourette’s Awareness Week Tourette’s Syndrome is a neurological disorder that is characterised by motor and/or vocal tics. This may look like rapid blinking, head jerking, shoulder shrugs (motor) or throat clearing, squealing grunting, tongue clicking, uttering of words and phrases (vocal). Many stigmas and stereotypes may be given to those who are diagnosed with Tourette’s Syndrome which can lead to exclusion, isolation and compounding problems.
