24.01.2022 I just got a Christmas card from 3 young siblings I coach that said "thank you for helping me get fit, helping build my confidence and wellbeing!" and from the other sibling "I can't believe you made me enjoy exercise and improved my mental health" "I look forward to training hard in 2021!" It brought me to tears. This is why I am a personal trainer and also a youth worker. What a wild ride, exercise and training can and will literally change your life for the better!

17.01.2022 Second rant on things trainers say that need to die a painful death: telling mums they're bodies will bounce back with correct programming. Or "I can can help you get your pre-baby body back." I don't know who needs to hear this; Womens bodies are not made from rubber balls..... Performance goals over aesthetics always!! Because women are human (omg really?) and are not to be just valued on the basis of their ability to fit someone else's ideals for how they should look. Things we should say to new mums: " Do you want me to bring you a coffee?" or insert anything that they enjoy "Cocomelon is quite annoying hey it's no bluey but geeze they love the repetition! Jay Jay is a bit of a little snot isn't he!"'
