05.01.2022 I am a big fan of this podcast in general. I learn from every episode I listen to and this one is no exception. Something I hadn't been aware of before is mentioned all the way through at 1:39.9 where they discuss how being obese reduces your dopamine response to exercise. Dopamine is the molecule that makes you want to do more, it's the reward molecule. So if you're obese, it might take more than a week to get that reward feeling from exercise which is going to make it harder to stick to a routine. This is why it is so important to find something that you enjoy whether that is classes at the gym, walking with a friend or dancing around your kitchen.
