10.01.2022 Going somewhere? This customer wasnt. This vehicle was bought down to us for some mechanical diagnostics. The vehicle would not move unless 4wd was selected. After we performed some quick diagnostics we had come to the conclusion that the rear dif was damaged. Below are the photos of what we found inside.

06.01.2022 This Audi A1 came to us to fix a few small issues. The start/stop function wasn't working correctly and it was hesitating between gears. On arrival we noticed the battery was half flat, so we placed it on charge unit it reached full charge. Upon testing the battery at full charge, we can safely say the battery was faulty. For testing purposes a new AGM start stop battery was fitted and coded to the vehicle. Once the battery was installed and coded the vehicles underlying issu...e was obvious. The alternater was intermittently not charging. On these vehicles this may be hard to test due to the engine control turning the alternater off when not needed, but using our knowledge on the systems and scan tools we noticed the request output and actual output were not the same. The customer was contacted and go ahead was given to fit the alternater and battery. 04.01.2022 We like it old We recently had this 1979 f100 pickup truck come into our workshop for a tune up and to rectify a few electrical issues. When the vehicle arrived we realised the extent of the issues. The fuel level, Speedo, tacho, fog lamps and Parker's were all not functioning under first evaluation. After some diagnostics all faults were found and the customer was contacted. We discussed he wanted to go forward as the quality of electrical work was sub-par and potential fire... hazard in some cases. He was happy for us To do a partial rewire of the electrical systems while fitting a weatherproof fuse/relay box to rectify the electrical faults and tidy up the wiring. 03.01.2022 Is your diesel feeling sluggish or low in power recently? These photos show what carbon build up in an intake manifold looks like. This is from a #toyota #prado fitted with the #1kdftv 3 litre turbo diesel. It was quickly diagnosed for the low power with a faulty injector and restricted manifold. We supplied, fitted and coded 4 new injectors under customers direction and cleaned the manifold using a ultrasonic wash. After completion and reassembly the vehicle clearly had gained more power and torque and the customer was very impressed with how it drove again. #mechanic #manly #northernbeaches #diagnostics #diesel #repair
