23.01.2022 earlier this week i went oiver to the nelson in bondi junction. i had done some work for the publican there, toby richardson, and i wanted to see how it had turned out. the hotel is a great example of 1930s art deco with a great many of the original features from when it was built in 1938. not only that but toby is a member of the reschs appreciation society and reschs is on tap as well. and all around the walls are beer memorabilia, not the least the odd reschs image. well worth a visit, not just for my reproductions but for the walls with their history and, of course, reschs on tap.

07.01.2022 i went down to wollongong the other day to deal with a job there and my train passed the imperial, currently being restored. the scaffolding that had enshrouded the hotel is slowly disappearing.

04.01.2022 i went down to the gong again today, passing the endlessly renovated imperial hotel at clifton. the scaffolding nat the front wasz gone, having migrated to the back. things are jumping there.

02.01.2022 i have changed the cover pic for my fb page. this is part of the interior of wollongong's hotel illawarra's public bar, festooned with pub.and.art.posters reproductions. the hotel serves a very acceptable reschs and the publican, ryan aitchison, is also a member of the reschs appreciation society. there will be more about the grand dame of wollongong hotels in coming weeks.
