15.01.2022 Butterflies Mating... Spied these tiny Blue Skippers on a walk today - I’ve only ever seen this event once before - and figure I should share... And try to tie in with what I’m otherwise doing - queue Butterfly related Food, Arts & Buildings... 08.01.2022 Sunday Story... A few years ago I missed out on buying an Adelaide Vintage Hotel plate I’d wanted... Fortunately it turned out... As I lamented the loss, the Seller told me that another Collector, who’d written a book, had scored it - but he couldn’t recall the names of that person, the book or the only bookshop in the whole wide world that sold said publication - except that it was in Hindley Street... I was fascinated... It was enough for me to find Imprints Booksellers, pu...rchase Traces - Where Adelaide Ate Out 1836 - 1960 over the telephone (fabulous reference) and natter with the two Authors, Darryl Thompson & James Smith, over their weekly catchup when I was next in South Australia... The bonus is that Coles Cafeteria in Rundle Street gets a couple of pages - and is THE central cup on my new Art Tea Towel - click on image to see Products... Hopetoun (previously in the Block Arcade & soon to move to the old Kozminsky building) is Victoria’s best known, but there’s also The Kallista... plus St Kilda’s Stokehouse ...started out as TEA ROOMS, overlooking The Bay 112 years ago...
