25.01.2022 Shade sails are going up today, as are the pool temperatures. Kids pool is reaching 25.7 with the main pool currently at 22.9 We’re open everyday until 6, so come say hi and test out the water

23.01.2022 Aqua aerobics starts Tuesday 10th November. Our Instructor Danielle will start with Tuesdays and Fridays only until 21st December and will go full schedule from 22nd December

22.01.2022 The 50m pool is up and running again, it may appear slightly cloudy but it is now safe to swim in.

20.01.2022 Aqua Aerobics A slight change for ONE of the friday sessions coming up. The session on Friday 4th December will be on Thursday 3rd at 10am instead. This is for that week only and will return to normal the following week.

19.01.2022 Such a busy day! The bbq was cranked up for lunches, inflatables were being well used and swimmers all over the place. We also had a local fire truck park up for 20 minutes for kids to have a play with. The aqua session was a success and extra donations have been placed in the tin. Well behaved community here today

17.01.2022 An extra aqua session will be added to this summers timetable. A combined deep & shallow HIIT class, designed for those who like a challenge. Monday evenings 5.30pm starting 14th December, with last session finishing on Monday 1st February. A limited time only, so join in when it's begins!... A great opportunity for sporting teams to maintain fitness through the off season. 16.01.2022 This Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March, Collie Underwater Hockey Club is hosting a carnival at the pool. Unfortunately, the lap lanes will not be available from Saturday 10am til Sunday 1pm. However, the areas outside of the marked square on the map are still available to the public during this time. ... Sorry for the inconvenience.

16.01.2022 A few of our aqua aerobics stars have tested out the new aquatic ankle weights this week. With extra resistance to the legs, the ankle weights have been a welcoming addition to our classes. Reviews say they leave a jelly like feeling in the legs after a great workout. VacSwim offers affordable swimming lessons across the State, giving children the opportunity to learn to swim in a safe and enjoyable environment. 13.01.2022 Since reopening in 2015, the leisure pool had only been running on solar power heaters. Unfortunately, on cooler/overcast days it meant low water temperatures and freezing kids (and parents). On October 2019, a brand new heater was installed to help keep the water temperature warm. The Collie Shire listened and they delivered the goods. The water temperature has been sitting regularly between 28-30C for the month it's been opened. ... Have you had a swim in it yet? For lap swimmers who would like direction and a focus on technique, improvement and a love for swimming with others. You must be able to swim. Proposed day/time:... Wednesdays 6.40am-7.40am starting 11th November 2020. Prices will be announced if it is to go ahead. This is the only day/time available. Sessions to be held by Masters Swimming Coach/ASCTA swim coach/PT/aqua instructor and swim nut Danielle Pesci.

10.01.2022 We're introducing JUNIOR SQUADS for stages 4 and over with KYM LATHAM Kym comes with 10 years of swimming and coaching experience and is brilliant at what she... does Junior squads focuses on building your child's endurance whilst maintaining their correct stroke over distance. Kym will be doing drills to build your child's endurance and will be using flippers to help improve your child's kick. At this stage we look at running Junior Squads on Monday after school. Squads will run for 30 minutes and will be the same cost as our lessons - $95 for 6 weeks. A discount will be given for children already enrolled in our program. If you wish to enrol for Junior Squads you can do so through messenger or come down to our enrolment day at the pool on Wednesday from 9.30am - 10.45am. See you there

09.01.2022 Swim around Australia is in its 3rd season. More than 7000km (and counting) has been swum here at the pool by a large number of lap swimmers. Not only are our lap swimmers contributing to the trip around Oz, but also have an individual target. ... 'Swim the wheatbelt' is the theme for 2019/2020 season. From Collie to Merriden, swimmers compare their distances to smaller towns inbetween. At this point we have a lap swimmer reach Williams (89km) since opening last month. Peter started this so swimmers would have motivation to come do their laps. Come and see a staff member to show you how to log your laps. Peter updates the sheet every week, so you can monitor your progress. Whether it's 1 lap or 100 laps, you still contribute to the bigger picture.
