16.01.2022 As we embark on yet another trip around the sun, there is something to be said for what it means to be courageous. I found this following article, while written with creatives in mind, extremely poignant for the times, and for all decision-making processes. With many an ‘Ah-ha!’ moment and such gratitude for the shared wisdom within the text, I hope you get something out of this too, and move forward into 2021 with a renewed sense of hope and courage <3

04.01.2022 Just 3 days until (the proverbial) curtain! Check out the latest project by the D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective ... INTO THE LIGHT (2020) Into the Light is an immersive outdoor performance that will delve into the world of connections and disconnections, light and darkness, where human reality is virtualised and virtual reality humanised. ... Mixing physical theatre, dance, philosophy, literature, visual arts, music and digital media, it will take you to a world of split, parallel identities, where body and place are abandoned for beings of light and words to be created. Our self-esteem boosted by a few clicks, our lives enlightened by screens of light. The show was developed as a collective creation by the members of D.I.V.E. Theatre Collective, based on research, and taking Plato’s Allegory of the Cave as our point of departure. It is funded by the Regional Arts Development Fund, which is a partnership between the Sunshine Coast Council and Queensland Government. PERFORMANCE DETAILS Dates: 20, 21, 27 & 28 November 2021 Time: 8:00pm AEST Location: At The Loo With a View 17-19 Mooloolaba Esplanade Mooloolaba QLD 4557 https://www.eventbrite.com.au/o/dive-theatre-collective-286

02.01.2022 For anyone wondering why we've been so quiet of late - our apologies - our admin got somewhat caught up in the creative process, helping to bring a little piece of magic to the LTC stage ... Neighbourhood Watch, an Australian play by Lally Katz opens in three weeks at Rochdale Theatre Goonellabah for 6 shows over two weekends (May 28 - June 6) The play is set in a suburban street where two neighbours from very different backgrounds become friends.... Ana, an elderly Hungarian-Australian widow and Catherine an aspiring actress, are the main characters but, just like any neighbourhood, there is a surrounding cast of diverse people. This play combines comedy and drama with some magic realism as Ana steps into her past life, taking Catherine with her. The play is directed by Daniel Sassi and features a cast of 11 with both familiar faces and some newcomers (with significant acting experience) on the Rochdale stage. Tickets are $25/$20 www.lismoretheatrecompany.org.au There is a reduced price of $15pp for a group of 10 or more (please contact us on messenger for group bookings) Pic Catherine (Adrienne Megan Lester) and Ana (Melanie Doriean)
