Barb is at the PRIA's seminar where PR managers from TabCorp, Medibank and agencies One Green Bean and Fifty Acres, and they are really emphasizing digital and social skills - it's a foundation. Writing of course. Also, energy, willingness to look at problems from different angles (not "well, we always do it this way"), people who say YES! and being able to put yourself in the shoes of others, especially people who are different from you! This is Emily Ritchie from Medibank.

11.01.2022 Friends, do you know someone in Year 12 this year? If so, please let them know that if they are planning on doing an Arts or Communications degree, they should... do their best to start one subject in their preferred degree before Christmas. The government passed legislation this week that means that after January 1, the cost of their degree will go up between 85% (Arts) and 113% (Communication) - if they enrolled and studying before then, they stay on the old rate. No problem if they don't want to study next year - if they can just do one subject, they can then take a break, but they will still get the old, cheaper rate. The new QTAC system allows them direct entry. PS - USQ has plenty of subjects starting on November 16!

10.01.2022 Barb is looking for a simple but real campaign for students of the post-grad writing class to use to develop written materials. Does anyone have one whose accommodating client would be happy for us to use? It will only be shared with the students. The previous campaign was supplied by the fantastic Heather Smith from Wishbone Communication - thankyou Heather!
