17.01.2022 @bulabulaarts is an amazing art centre located in Ramingining in north-eastern Arnhem Land. They are famous for their bark paintings and natural fibre weaving, they won the collaboration award at this years NIFA for the epic weaving work they did with #maaracollective. They also have a history of screen-printing but the screens and squeegees they have on site are no longer usable. They have just launched a Pozible campaign to raise money for new screens, squeegees and inks ...to get their print room back up and running, and to have some screens made with us here at Publisher to help out with larger orders and more complicated designs. They are also working with @flyingfoxfabrics and will be making bags, purses. 12.01.2022 Steadily chugging along behind the scenes! Lily and Remi have been powering through hundreds of metres of fabrics on the tables, Javed has been mixing rivers of ink, Mark has been slicing up the biggest lays for clothing we have ever done and I’m still adding job sheets to everyone’s workload! It’s been an amazing couple of months seeing the indigenous textiles leap to being the biggest part of our little business this year and the huge amount of support for Australian made and owned businesses that has exploded over the pandemic. We are safely the busiest we have ever been! So much so that we are booked up with printing until the end of the year! How goods that!!
