25.01.2022 Check out these incredible masonry vaults, varying in height, length and curvature, that form the Imperial Kiln Museum in Jingdezhen, China. The vault walls comprise a concrete core clad internally and externally with recycled kiln bricks. And their simplified, cavernous forms reflect the traditional kiln design (complete with skylights resembling smoke holes) and celebrate the region's famed porcelain industry. A beautiful balance of functionality, cultural relevance and understated design by Studio Zhu-pei. 18.01.2022 Show day has come and gone and the dirt's looking good and friable, which can only mean one thing: time to start planting! First off the rank are the tommies (of course). And broccoli, carrots and parsnip. And basil, parsley and coriander. Gotta have herbs. And marigolds for bees and colour. Gotta have colour.... Bring on summer! #puddspatch See more

16.01.2022 We suspect most of Hobart's been to a wedding at the Cascade Brewery at one time or another, but now you don't need the excuse of a wedding to turn up. JAWSArchitects have completed a superb makeover of the Cascade Brewery Bar, perfect for both summer afternoons and winter evenings. Loving that green!

07.01.2022 We commonly see people buying a small house and moving it to their coast or bush block for the perfect shack, or to the backyard for the perfect granny flat. What's equally common is people getting pinged by the council for unapproved work because they didn't realise that relocating a house is effectively building work and needs approval. Something that's easy to forget is that a house is designed for its location. Which means that if you want to pick it up and put it in anot...her location, it will need to be documented, assessed and possibly modified for the new site. For example, footings may need to be designed for the new soil and wind conditions or the building may need additional features for an increased risk of bushfire. If you're looking at relocating a building, get in touch and we can help you avoid the potholes along the way. #puddingln #buildingtasmania See more

02.01.2022 Keeping plants in the office has been shown to improve productivity and mental well-being, and it's good to see these principles at work in public spaces too. Indoor green walls not only scrub the air of pollutants, they also offer natural cooling, shading and thermal comfort. And they look fab! A great way to bring more of the outside inside. #puddingln #happyoccupants
