25.01.2022 Spring Miss H & I finished off our bird feeders today & went outside & hung one in the tree. We will be observing what birds come & have a nibble at the seed. Then over the next few weeks we will be engaging in making those birds & using natural resources to gather materials to make a bird nest.

21.01.2022 What a beautiful day to be outside riding bikes. I set up an obstacle course for Miss I & Miss H to menourvre their bikes through. They filled up with petrol & were on their way with passengers in tow. After their ride they washed the bikes so they were all clean & shiny again.

13.01.2022 Spring When the flowersstart blooming & the trees start growing their leaves. When animals start breeding & giving birth. When the birds are chirping & hunting for food. Over the next few weeks the children will be engaged in play based learning experiences with our theme "Spring".... Today Miss H learnt how to paper mache. Using flour & waterfor the glue she placed strips of paper onto the balloon. Although Miss H found it a little difficult as the balloon kept rolling away. Together we worked on getting it done. Can anyone guess what the finished product will be? Watch this space next week when we will reveal it's identity.

06.01.2022 Being calving season I set up a farm small world play where the children will learn how to paper mache a cow & the process of how milk makes our dairy products.

03.01.2022 Spring Today we made bird feeders! Using unflavoured gelatine, water & wild bird seed. The children mixed all the ingredients & scooped the seed mixture into cookie cutters. We then placed them in the fridge to set. Next week we will thread the string through the holes & place on the trees outside. We cant wait to watch all the different birds that fly into the garden for some tasty treats. We also did the second layer of our paper mache, more to come next week.
