09.01.2022 I have got this paragraph off our senior Instructor's website and I could not have said it any better. "At SHUDOKAN FAMILY KARATE CENTRE, your goals are our goals!... We will help all our student not only achieve, but succeed in all of their goals. All our junior members will be taught martial arts, NOT just how to kick or punch! We will always put the Students first and have an open-door policy, to allow our club to grow as a family. We promote physical fitness and positive social interaction in a courteous and respectful atmosphere. Our greatest responsibility is to instil in our students a sense of discipline and a code of ethics to inspire them to lead exemplary lives as leaders in the community. Although we honour Goju Ryu Karate traditions that go back centuries, we are dynamic and are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to enthuse and excite our students."

08.01.2022 Rediscovered this certificate among some throw-away stuff in my wife's embroidery factory, today. The University awarded me full sport colours for karate. Sensei Bakkies was my coach at the time He has won lots of trophies. I once saw them - all indiscriminately chucked in the top drawer of his filing cabinet, filling it to the brink. I think I followed suit by chucking the certificate in my drawer but somehow could not fill it up quite as he did.
