24.01.2022 Barach Threads Flashback! I love this photo of our Barach Threads family with our PULSE members Sarah and Phil who have been a great support to this family over the years. The little boys have all grown so much and this family is thriving thanks to the hard work of Sopheak and Theoun (the founders of Barach Threads project.) The project has organically changed and developed over the years- and still is- and that is the beauty of sustainable development projects. One thing that hasn't changed is this core family and the support between our friends. The result is a family that is healthy, well educated, well loved, connected into their community and with strong supportive links with their local church. We love this family and the big future that is before them for generations to come.

22.01.2022 A shout out to our good friends Sreylin and Tonet. Ever since we have know them- they have been a family that is hospitable, generous and happy to look after their community in any way they can. When we first met them they were sharing a tiny room (their home) with their new baby daughter and several different teenagers who would always be in and out when they needed help. They are now the proud owners of their own laundry franchise which also doubles as their own home. Tonet... has nearly finished his degree in Business at University and has just been offered a new job in the city! Sreylin will continue to run the laundry and is able to hire 2 new workers which will provide training and an income for other families in their community. They have a great faith, they work hard, they believe in education and in helping others... They are a family that live out what they believe. PULSE are proud to journey beside them and are excited to see how this family continues to shape change in their community for generations to come. See more

19.01.2022 Exciting to see the foundations being laid on Pon's land- our Operations Manager at Roots. This guy has been working hard all year preparing his land and mud bricks ready for his new home to be built later in the year with the Roots program M.U.D. This program allows housing to be affordable and sustainable for the local agricultural community. We are so excited to see the first house of this project complete in the following months.. Stay tuned!

11.01.2022 Flashback to some of our team trips.. PULSE is all about PEOPLE. We believe in relationships and creating inter-generational connections between out cultures. We can learn so much from each other. We love our partner projects- we love the families connected to them and we love the impact they have had on all who have travelled with PUSLE.

11.01.2022 Thinking of these little faces today- they represent the hope for a brighter future, for a life without hunger, sickness or poverty.. Where they live educated, free, loved, healthy and empowered. The life they dream of is a life just like the one we have today. We are blessed! What can we do with the life we have to help these little faces of the tomorrow..

10.01.2022 A BIG shout out to our Aussie PULSE member Phil Oste and an amazing team from Shire Christian School who put in a few days of hard work to get these Abode Brick houses up. These homes will be a blessing to two beautiful families connected with our Roots project in Kep/Kampot region. Building houses for families in need is part of the M.U.D initiative of Roots- which provides sustainable and affordable housing for Khmer families in these provinces. We are proud of this though...tful imitative of Roots and so grateful for Phil and his training and leadership over the team. Shire Christian School what a life-changing opportunity for those senior students. Thank you for partnering with Roots and for allowing your students to experience life and culture in a world bigger than their own. Can't wait to see what comes from this trip for these students! #mudbricks #sustainablehousing #teamwork #mission #Roots #kingdombuilders #futureleaders See more

09.01.2022 Where life is a lot simpler but their joy is complete. We can learn a lot from the way our PULSE family live and serve in community. We don't need MORE to be happy- we need others, we need support, we need to be content with what we have and we need to understand we are part of a bigger picture. #Lifelessons from our friends across the world.

05.01.2022 Education is a powerful tool. Education in the preschool years is vital in the success rate of students in developing countries. We love the work that New Light Preschool are doing to make learning accessible and fun to the little ones in their community- giving them a springboard to success in the years to come! Great job Teacher Toni! According to UNICEF; Children absorb substantial amounts of information early on in life as they begin developing language and social skills.... They are primed and eager to learn between the ages of three and five. Providing early learning and development opportunities during this time is vital to their development and serves as a springboard to academic success, as exposure to learning environments early on implants discipline and stimulates the mind. Children who attend preschool are firmly set on the primary school track, are more likely to progress well and are less likely to drop out (UNICEF Cambodia, 2016) See more

04.01.2022 Check out this REFRESH project and let us know if you would like to be a part of supporting the local children in the Roots community.
