15.01.2022 Stowe Australia Apprentice Awards 2019 It was a pleasure hosting Stowe Australia’s 7th Sydney Apprentice Awards last Thursday evening, with this year’s event be...ing held at Dooleys, Lidcombe Catholic Club. Last Thursday evening’s event, brought together apprentices from the Greater Sydney area and all our NSW and ACT Regional branches to reward and recognise those apprentices as judged by their Supervisors and Divisional Management as achieving high standards in all aspects of their trade. Part of the evening included an educational trade show for our apprentices, facilitated by our generous sponsors Pulvin Lighting, Anixter, Fluke, Hilti, Weidmuller and TLE Silverwater and a key note speaker Nathan Hindmarsh NRL Legend. The evening culminated with Cameron Taylor from our South Coast Branch being named as this year’s winner of the Pat Brown memorial apprentice award winner and we look forward to Cameron continuing his journey at Stowe for many years to come. Cameron has always shown a professional and mature attitude to both his on the job training and studies since day 1. His enthusiasm is evidenced by the fact that he has only had 4 personal sick days during the course of his apprenticeship. Cameron has developed strong industrial electrical skills, has produced great TAFE results and is currently studying a Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics & Control. On a personal note he is a keen diver and loves to involve himself in automotive projects He has worked on several of our key projects including: HMAS Albatross Re-development Package Helicopter Hot Re-fueling Project HMAS Creswell Wharf Refurbishment Cameron is highly regarded amongst his peers and given his commitment to the trade; we feel that he is the perfect choice for the Pat Brown memorial apprentice award. He has a great attitude towards his work and team mates and will make a great leader in years to come.
