It could be someone whose work you admire someone pushed you to work harder at a job or in school whose inspirational content you enjoy ( you don't have to know them to show gratitude to them) ... or whose dedication at Punch Love ...made you want to try harder! Then, every day for the next week choose one of them to message with some positive vibes <3 Be sure to thank them and tell them the impact they made on you! This can help shift you out of a funk and and lift your own spirits as much as the person receiving your love message! Hands up whose going to give this a go this week?

13.01.2022 TECHNIQUE TUESDAY: Donkey Kick: These are great for correcting imbalances as you activate your glutes with this unilateral ( one side at a time) move. It is also a great way to work on engaging and activating your core! To do do a Donkey Kick: Step1: Start on your hands and knees. Your knees should be right under your hips and your feet should be flexed. Make sure your hands are right under your shoulders.... STEP 2: Keep one knee bent and foot flexed, drive that foot up and back toward the ceiling. Keep your core braced and squeeze your glute as you kick your heel up and back. Prevent your right knee from flaring out as you lift - keep it in line with your body. STEP 3: Drive your heel up toward the ceiling, extend your hip as you kick back. Don’t simply swing the leg back and up with momentum or hyperextend your low back to kick up higher. You want to squeeze your glute and feel your hip extending. Keep the move controlled with a squeeze. ** KEY POINT It's not so much about height but about contracting your glute to almost stop yourself from kicking higher that will give you the best result.
13.01.2022 TECHNIQUE TUESDAY: Hand-release push-ups. STEP 1: Lie face down on the floor with your head neutral (aligned with spine). Keep your chest, abdomen, pelvis, and quads touching the floor. Your ankles should be flexed so that your toes (not the top of your feet) are touching the floor. STEP 2: Contract or create tension in the abs, glutes, and quads. While keeping everything tensed, take your hands off the floor, and pull your shoulders back. Imagine squeezing a can between your... shoulder blades. STEP 3: While keeping the upper back, abs, glutes, and quads tight, bring your hands back down to the floor and push yourself up as quickly as you can. Push until your arms are fully extended and locked. At the top, your body should be at a downward angle but in a straight line with the head, shoulders, hips, knees and feet aligned. FINISH: Slowly lower yourself back down to the starting position. See more

09.01.2022 MINDSET MATTERS! Chose the thoughts that serve you, change the ones that dont... It’s the season for gratitude! It’s pretty easy to be grateful for the good things that make us feel happy and secure. Things like your home, your family, your kiddies, kittens, puppies, & wine We have many good things to be grateful for this year!... But I want to challenge your thinking. Can you come up with some more unconventional things that weren’t always so upbeat from this year to be grateful for? Let me share ours... COVID-19 closing our business this year was a challenging moment. Do Karina & I wish it could have been avoided? ABSOLUTELY yes. But thinking about what if’s doesn’t change the fact that it DID happen. We've realised how fortunate we are to be surrounded by a sisterhood of support & love throughout our team and members. It's a place that has absolutely shone during the roughest of days. Boy are we grateful The challenge to find the unconventional, grateful moments aren't so much about learning lessons it’s more about that experience gave us an opportunity to reconnect with our WHY. That never left us during that whole experience... infact it only became stronger! What unconventional things can YOU feel gratitude for this year?

03.01.2022 HERE’s my word for seasonal treats MODERATION! It’s a popular misconception that us coaches only eat broccoli and chicken & protein shakes. Or that we were somehow magically gifted with the desire to only eat good foods.... but the honest truth is we all have a favourite Christmas treat...I asked the team what is their treat at this time of year... Vikki's is Rocky Road, Kellianne's is apple pie and ice cream, Britt's mums makes homemade vanilla and violet crumble Ice Cream, Bec's favourite is her aunty's sticky date pudding! Susie's is fruit mince pies, Justine's is xmas pudding... Fran is a cheese fiend, Dido loves a meringue nest, Kylie goes nuts for chrissy ham & Karina makes a wicked trifle. The thing is, we all love to indulge once in a while! Here’s how we have our cake and eat it and still feel healthy and strong during these festive gatherings We make sure to choose just our favorites, rather than eating some of everything. Watch serving sizes & we don’t worry about eating the treats, because we know it's back to normal meals the next day. Seriously, it’s the things we do CONSISTENTLY that make all the difference! Motivation is like any other skill You're not born with a natural talent for it. You have to work at it to keep it strong. But it doesn’t have to FEEL like work. This is why this MOVIE rocks!... Every time I watch The Greatest Showman, I get energised, and here's why. The movie has several themes but the one I connect with focuses on finding something to do with your life that makes others happy! If you can find something to do with your life that makes others happy you’re going to win at life. Karina and I founded Punch Love because we BELIEVE that every woman deserves to do something that makes them happy. Boxing makes us HAPPY. This movie inspires me to keep working on that happiness and joy. There’s no reason to have to battle through when sometimes all you need to do is watch, listen to or read something inspiring to help get you back on track! And one of our favorite snacks for summer is Protein Ice-cream. The Streets Blue Ribbon Chocolate version is delicious.
