24.01.2022 NSW Health is urging Merimbula residents and holidaymakers to be on alert for COVID-19 symptoms after a child holidaying in the area tested positive to COVID-19.... Anyone with even the mildest of respiratory symptoms or fever in the Southern NSW Local Health District area should attend a COVID-19 clinic for testing. The child from Victoria was tested in Melbourne and the results were originally reported to the family as being negative. The case and their family were not from a hotspot when they travelled to NSW on 4 July. After arriving, they were notified that the initial report was an error, and the child’s case was positive. Before learning the result the family had visited the Tathra Hotel. The hotel enacted their COVID-19 Safety Plan and although the risk to other patrons and staff is very low, they are being contacted. The case and close contacts are in isolation. 16.01.2022 Incoming rant... EYE BOOGERS Dear Pet Owners,... STOP LETTING YOUR DOGS EYES ACCUMULATE EYE BOOGERS! It really is NOT HARD to wipe these out of your pets eyes when you see them. I am really tired of seeing dogs come in with their little faces all crusted up. It's painful and can cause an infection. HOW DO YOU NOT SEE THIS ON YOUR DOGS FACE?!?! ARE YOU BLIND?!?! If you wipe out their eyes everyday with a warm washcloth it won't get to the point of pain for your pet. Then your groomer will not have to fight tooth and nail trying to get the crud off your dogs face! Shaving under this is dangerous and is quite difficult. A lot of the time this acts like a scab and when you rip it off it's PAINFUL and exposes the irritated, delicate skin under it. Same goes with washing this off and using a flea comb to remove. It's still pulling it off a poor dogs face. A lot of times it bleeds, this this becomes another scab on your poor pups face. SHAME ON YOU! I often recommend a vet to owners that let their dogs get to such a horrible state. I hear it all the time from pet parents that, "Bella just won't let me touch her face." Well, no shit Karen it freaking hurts when you let it get to this point! I wouldn't let you touch my face either! Now your lucky groomer gets to try and wave her magic wand to make these disappear just so you can ignore our instructions to WIPE THEIR EYES OUT DAILY!!!!!!!!! Being a good pet owner is more than just feeding your dog. Being a good pet owner means listening to your groomer as well. Please stop doing this...your pet will very much appreciate it.

15.01.2022 What makes a good groomer isn’t always about the Hair cut or the bows and most especially not the Price What makes a good groomer is someone who will sit on the ground with your 14 yr old dog with her bad back instead of making your dog who has no balance on the table rittledd with arthritis stand up for 2 hrs to make it easier on herself A groomer who will finish later rather than earlier to give your dog 10 minutes rest when it needs too A groomer who won’t overload bark...ing dogs to create a stressful environment just to make more money A groomer who will sacrifice there walking reputation of your dog for the comfort of your pet A groomer who will use half the speed of there dyer and take double the time to dry your dog because it’s panicking from the loud noise A groomer who will still cuddle love & play with your dog after he/she has almost taken your hand off from shaving Matt’s out of its arthritic feet But understands because its not in there nature to be aggressive but the age & pain is getting the better of them A groomer who isn’t just going to love your pet whilst he or she is a cute fluffy puppy but when your pet is older and much harder to work with A groomer who doesn’t look at your pet as a walking $ sign but a Bestfriend and does there best to create a trusting bond so your pet is comfortable with there time spent being groomed A groomer who will silently grieve the loss of your pet along side you The small things I mentioned above are above all the most priceless contributors to what makes a good groomer so think hard before you judge a groomer based on there price or the 14yr old dog they had to shave You can spot a loving groomer from a mile away from how they spend there spare time How they treat animals outside of work The extra efforts & time they spend for your dog that are unwarranted & unpaid for or even non grooming related And most of all you can see they LOVE what they do! 05.01.2022 I am happy to let you know that Grooming services will recommence from May 5th. There will still be restrictions on days that I can operate and strict guidelines that need to be followed. 01.01.2022 Due to the current situation with Covid-19 the salon is now closed. Please stay home and please have a go at a home groom. I would love to see your attempts. There are some helpful tutorials on YouTube or you could watch Pooch Perfect lol.. ***ANY GROOM YOU CAN DO IS BETTER THAN NO GROOM *** Just remember the hair will always grow back and in time I will definitely be back.
