17.01.2022 History Time! Hi my name is Nad, and Im the face behind Pups Academy. My journey started (unofficially) many years ago, growing up in a household that always had at-least two different types of animals if not more, at any one time. Growing up, I aspired to be a vet, until the grim two sided reality of the profession dawned on me. Ive always had a soft spot for dogs in particular and would spend hours, with a multitude of books, researching dog training at Blacktown librar...y from the age of 12. Fast forward to my second year of university, I applied for my dream job at a pet store due to open in my area. By September 2017, I had been offered the job and opened the store with a team of individuals who are nothing short of remarkable. Thanks to these wonderful people and the support of our management team, I took on my ultimate dream role as puppy preschool team leader. This role has built me up and brought me to where I am today, so to say Im grateful for it would be a grave understatement. Youll still find me in store on a weekend because I dont think I could ever leave such an amazing role at a place like this I have had the pleasure of meeting and training so many amazing puppies and puppy parents through this role, I wouldnt change a thing about it! 13.01.2022 If you have a Dachshund or another short-legged breed youll know it can be tricky getting them in a down/drop position. This was Pablo by the end of his first session! With some additional tools, his favourite treats and a bit of patience we got him there - Well done Pablo!

07.01.2022 Happy Monday! An important note for our weekly clients: As of next week we will be open for sessions 9am - 4:30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays till the 3rd week of September. We will however be running one session at 4:30pm on Wednesday through these weeks. ... We have halted our intake of new clients to focus on our existing clients and allow for better availability of sessions. We understand that many of you would like evening sessions and we sincerely apologise for the lack of these due to the size of our current client base and other commitments. 01.01.2022 We have had a few clients on the hunt recently for solutions for separation anxiety. Although we believe that: A) Desensitisation through consistent training is key. B) Mentally + physically stimulated pups are happier, healthier and less anxious.... ... we also know that stuff-able toys such these can add a little extra comfort to a stressful situation for your puppy/dog. These are perfect to throw an old shirt or socks in to make your pup feel like youre closer to them when youre out. If you require any pet products let us know before 12pm on a Saturday and we can provide pricing/pick up items for you to be delivered at your next session for no extra cost
