24.01.2022 Reg 10 Raises its ugly head again.

23.01.2022 Hint for the day. If you want a variation of your bail to allow you to go away for Christmas, the Regulations do require a little bit of notice be given to the Coppers.... If you dont give notice, you might not get your variation, and you might spend Christmas alone.........

22.01.2022 An amazing win today. Very happy client - successful claim regarding unlawful actions by police.

21.01.2022 Today, we kept a client out of gaol for an offence of supply greater than the large commercial quantity of a prohibited drug. Dont get us wrong - truly exceptional case. Its not prospects of rehab - we are talking actual rehabilitation. We couldnt be happier and more importantly, neither could he.

20.01.2022 The Justices of the Supreme Court of Western Australia are sooooo nice!

19.01.2022 Today we successfully settled a claim for damages for our client against a perpetrator of domestic violence. Very happy client and good to be part of bringing some justice.

13.01.2022 Claims of public interest immunity are, by and large, an attempt to legitimise prosecutorial obstruction.

12.01.2022 So, no one likes getting calls on their mobile, early in the morning, whilst still at home getting ready. This is particularly so if the caller is a belligerent probationary constable police officer. Who sounded about 5 years old.

11.01.2022 Costs. We love the sound of that order.

09.01.2022 And were off to Perth for a little Court of Criminal Appeal, Western Australian style!

04.01.2022 Today we appeared for a young man who pleaded guilty to possessing a pistol which he had obtained for the protection of himself and his family. My client acknowledges with the benefit of hindsight that his possession of the pistol was adding to the problem of unauthorised pistols and the reduction in safety to the community. Since he was charged, he has turned his life around and made really positive changes. He received a sentence of community service and we couldnt agree more that this was an appropriate result.

01.01.2022 Why does anyone need to own an Uzi?
