05.01.2022 How do abalone eat? Abalone capture and hold pieces of kelp and other algae with their muscular foot. This abalone trapped a piece against the front of one of o...ur tanks today, allowing a great view of the abalone using its radula to tear off bits of kelp. Radulae, common in molluscs, are flexible bands with rows of sharp teeth. These bands look a bit like a mini-chainsaw! A firm structure under the radula, called the odontophore, presses the radula against the kelp. #uocmlc #abalone #radula See more
