19.01.2022 Practice Update Pure Dental Toowoomba will be open for patient enquiries and triaging emergency patient care from 8:30am - 2pm Monday to Friday from 14 April 2020. We are operating under "Level 3 restrictions" which essentially means we cannot create aerosols (fluid droplets) and there will be extra precautions taken to protect our staff and all patients. 16.01.2022 Movemeber The month of raising awareness for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer is upon us! For the month of November, the team at Pure Dental Toowoomba will run or walk 60km over the month, for the 60 men lost to suicide every hour across the world. Our Front Office Coordinator girls will have a donation box in reception for those who wish to make a contribution.

15.01.2022 Before COVID-19 took over and ruined our plans, we announced some exciting news that we have a wonderful dentist joining our valuable team! Our new dentist Dr Lisa Smith will be starting from June 1! Dr Lisa will be accepting new patients and emergency patients. Once Dr Lisa starts, we will be able accommodate more patient’s with emergency dental needs. ... Whether it is time for your 6 monthly check-up & clean, a chipped tooth, bleeding gums or a trauma to the mouth. We will have you and your family covered for any oral health curve ball. 15.01.2022 Update for our patients To reassure our patients that have contacted the practice with dental concerns we have noted your details and we will be in touch as soon as the practice reopens. We are currently in the process of receiving Covid-19 appropriate personal protective equipment to enable us to provide emergency dental care as advised by the Australian Dental Association under Covid-19 guidelines for general dental practice. The personal protective equipment required ...is to protect our patients, our staff and their families from further community spread. We hope you are all healthy & keeping sane during this difficult time.

14.01.2022 To all our wonderful patients Although we are currently closed, Dr Nicola & Kylie are available on the end of a telephone if you are in need of emergency care and advice. Pure Dental Toowoomba is working on getting COVID -19 appropriate personal protective equipment to allow us to see our patients for emergency treatment. We hope you all are keeping healthy and are not going crazy with isolation (like our staff are)!

14.01.2022 Happy Flossing Day! Why do I need to floss? Flossing lifts and removes plaque and food in between your teeth where your toothbrush can't reach, helping to prevent decay between the teeth. Always floss your teeth at least once a day. To properly floss, break off about 30 to 40 centimeters of floss and wrap both ends around your fingers. Gently move the floss up and down the sides of each tooth to remove plaque, bacteria, and food debris.

10.01.2022 Pure Dental Toowoomba will be open from the 27 April to 29 May 2020 on Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. What are we doing to keep our patients, our staff and their families safe We are following the Australian Dental Association & Government recommendations to ensure all cross-infection guidelines are followed. ... All patients are required to answer the prescreening questions the day prior to their appointment. All patients will be rescheduled if feeling unwell. Your honesty is appreciated! All magazines have been removed from the waiting room. We are allowing enough time between appointments to ensure thorough cleaning of surgeries and waiting room. To allow social distancing, please phone us on your arrival into the car park. Please wait in your car until one of our lovely staff members come to collect you for your appointment. We would recommend you bring a light cardigan or jacket to your appointment. Our staff currently must wear extra personal protective equipment which gets very hot so the temperature in the practice is cooler than normal. 03.01.2022 MEET DR LISA SMITH Dr Lisa grew up in Sydney where her dental career started as a dental assistant whilst studying Medical Science at the University of Technology in Sydney. After graduating with first class honours, Dr Lisa decided to move to the Gold Coast to further her interest in oral health. Dr Lisa graduated from the Bachelor of Oral Health/Graduate Diploma of Dentistry program at Griffith University in 2015. Dr Lisa enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a focus on ...providing special care to children & nervous patients. Dr Lisa has volunteered her time for various philanthropic organisations spending time in both central Queensland & the Philippines, prior to settling in Toowoomba. Lisa’s other interests include travelling, dressmaking and spending time with her fiancé and 2 ginger cats.

03.01.2022 To all my wonderful patients. On advice from leading health specialists in our community I have made the decision to be proactive and act swiftly to decrease the potential asymptomatic transmission of COVID-19 to my patients and the wider community by closing Pure Dental Toowoomba. We have made the decision to close definitely until the week beginning 20th of April. This date may need to change as the effects of this virus unfolds within our community. I will not be leaving y...ou; my Manager, Kylie, and myself, will be available on the end of a telephone for advice, antibiotics and pain relief which we will email through to your nearest pharmacy. If you have an appointment in the next 4 weeks my wonderful staff are currently in the process of calling you to rearrange your appointment. Please feel free to contact us if that is easier. If you develop pain or think you have an infection please call the practice phone - you will be diverted to either myself or Kylie and we will assist with emergency care. There will be an emergency oral health centre set up in the coming days for both private and public patients - as we get the details we will inform you.
