16.01.2022 "Termites found on a house in Buderim" It's always a good idea to get at least annually inspections done on your property, that way any conducive areas that may attract termites can be pointed out and prevented. A lot of houses on the Sunshine Coast have out dated termite protection and the owner is completely unaware, this is also something a pest controller can inform you on and let you know the best path to go down to protect your investment. Call us on 0420 850 010 if you have any questions regarding the protection of your property.

08.01.2022 Despite its common name, the bird-eating spider rarely eats birds. Occasionally, hatchling birds will be taken from nests on the ground, however, the bulk of the diet comprises insects, lizards, frogs, and other spiders

03.01.2022 ARACHNOPHOBES LOOK AWAY! The discovery of a massive nest of huntsman spiders on WA's south coast has given researchers a fascinating glimpse at how the arac...hnids live in large family groups. Bush Heritage Australia ecologist Angela Sanders made the surprise find while inspecting timber habitat boxes installed in Monjebup for pygmy possums. While some boxes had become homes for possums, one box was full of dozens of huntsman spiders, all believed to belong to one family. "On lifting the lids of some, we found many huntsman spiders of all sizes whizzing around inside," Dr Sanders said. "We now know that they're a species of huntsman that live together, normally under the bark of a tree." : Supplied by Angela Sanders
