25.01.2022 MEDIA RELEASE BREAKING: It is with a heavy heart that I Keven Dwyer, announce that as of 01/08/2019, I will be discontinuing all broadcasts from Pure Country 87.6FM effective immediately. I feel that this is a sad day for Pure Country and a sad day for the Broken Hill community. I have not entered into this decision lightly however there are many factors that have led me to this choice. My primary motive for closure is due to the financial burden of keeping this ‘community as...set’ afloat. As rental costs and business costs soar nationwide, I find it is time to hang up my hat and start a new chapter. In saying that I am not discounting the fact that one day we may find ourselves in a position to bring Pure Country back to Broken Hill and share our passion for good country music with you once again. Pure Country has survived with only a hand full of sponsors for the last five years and I would like to take a moment to thank them all from the bottom of my heart. 15.01.2022 It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce that The Silverton Sunsets Music Festival will not be happening in 2020 or in the foreseen future due to fu...nding being pulled. We would like to thank everyone for all of their support in our first two years of what was a wonderful and supportive festival for Australian Singer/Songwriters and we will all walk away with nothing but fond and wonderful memories.
