23.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE. Pure Health Osteopathy is a permitted workplace under stage 4 restrictions and remains open to provide care for urgent needs. You no longer need a specific GP referral to attend for care. Osteopathic care can be provided if the absence of, or delay of this care, would result in a significant change/deterioration in your function, and by doing so, cause an escalation of care. This means that without care you would need to attend the GP, a specialist or a hos...pital for control of symptoms. These measures have been put in place to reduce the movement of people and face to face contact. Travel restrictions to attend your appointment do NOT apply so you may travel further than 5 KM. We advise you to travel with proof of your appointment such as the confirmation SMS. All hygiene and infection control requirements are in place at the Clinic. We would kindly ask you to wear a mask, remain distanced in reception areas and not to attend your appointment if you have any symptoms such as a cough, fever or sore throat or have Covid-19 or have knowingly had contact with someone positive for Covid-19. Thank you for your patience and support in these difficult times. If you have any queries, please call 9457 6401. See more

17.01.2022 Here is "little Miranda". One of our wonderful patients made this and many others to help support all the dedicated health workers in Victoria. As Osteopaths navigating through stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne so that we can comply with regulations and help who really needs it, we really appreciated this gesture. 11.01.2022 Staying well is so important while we live through unprecedented times. Remember those 5 pillars of Health? Healthy food, healthy fluids, healthy movement, healthy sleep and healthy connection. There are little things that you can do each day- drink plenty of water, do some yoga, call a friend, cook something delicious with wholefood ingredients, and go to bed about 10 pm. It is true, we need to be inventive and creative at times due to Stage 4 restrictions, but staying well can be done. www.purehealthosteopathy.com.au Vision: The Best Spinal Health and Freedom of Movement for Our Community.

10.01.2022 Still working from home? Probably and some of us are probably experiencing spinal discomfort and painful shoulders. Here are some strategies that Pure Health Osteopathy has mentioned before but you might like a reminder. - a comfortable work chair that supports the back, feet flat on the floor and sit in the chair correctly. - computer monitor at eye level. If using a laptop, put it on a stand and get a separate keyboard. - keyboard close enough for the wrists to rest fl...at and elbows parallel to the floor. - keep posture upright and but relaxed. - take breaks!!!!! At a minimum take 10 minutes every hour to move around. - get outside for 20 minutes minimum each day, even if it is raining. Review how you are doing and why not try some of these strategies to make your working day more comfortable. www.purehealthosteopathy.com.au Vision: The Best Spinal Health and Freedom of Movement for Our Community. Dr Will Bulsiewicz What individuals eat has the largest impact on health and eating choices are made by one person- that person is you! Making better choices can influence health including joint and spinal health. That is why Pure Health Osteopathy is all for great eating!! www.purehealthosteopathy.com.au Vision: The Best Spinal Health and Freedom of Movement for Our Community. Photo: Yoav Aziz

05.01.2022 World Spine Day is 16 October, to highlight the burden of spinal pain and disability around the world. This year, the day aims to help get Australians back on track by revitalising their spinal health and restore wellbeing. This is particularly relevant this year with the challenges of COVID, lockdowns and restrictions. So hey, Australians, how about letting an Osteopath help you get back on track! www.purehealthosteopathy.com.au Vision: The Best Spinal Health and Freedom of Movement for Our Community.

03.01.2022 COVID-19 Update: Osteopathy remains an essential service and will continue to provide care to our community, using advice from the Federal Department of Health regarding hygiene and distancing so that we can maintain a safe environment for our wonderful patients and our valued staff. Our reception staff will be escalating our already diligent screening process. We hope you understand the need for these important questions prior to confirming your appointment. Here is the l...ist of measures we continue to implement at Pure Health Osteopathy: Strict screening of all patients In-car waiting if patients prefer- luckily we have a large reception area. Hand sanitization or washing on entry Your temperature will be taken prior to your appointment Single use linen Treatment tables are wiped down before and after treatment. Industrial surface spray cleaning is carried out daily. Evidence supports that our new product protects surfaces for up to 30 days! (Zoono) It has now been recommended that we wear masks. We understand that this is a very anxious time for people. If you need to talk about any of these measures, just give us a call. We are all in this together and will be more resilient to the stress it brings if we keep the lines of communication open. No one suburb or community can fight Covid-19 by themselves, but each of us acting collectively can make a big difference. Now is the time to offer compassion, support and gratitude to our loved ones. This too shall pass. In the meantime, above all, be kind to each other and yourselves. We are keeping up to date with State and Federal Government recommendations and will let you know if things change. See more
