13.01.2022 Outlandish and thought-provoking as it is, Baan Dam or the Black House of Chiang Rai was the actual abode of the late Thailand’s notable national artist Thawan Duchanee. A great place to dwell in the artist's deep thinking and religious interpretations. This premises, with a collection of about 40 buildings of varying shapes, sizes, and architectural styles, is peaceful with the surrounding leafy garden.
