Or leave it to fate depending on what's in the snack draw at home and what actually fits in your pockets (that's if you have a pocket )? Generally, for exercise over one hour in duration, your carb requirements are between 30-60g (and can move up towards 90g for longer sessions). Add a whole lot of variables into the mix such as training phase, meal timings and exercise type and you have a potential nutrition puzzle on your hands. The good news? Practice makes perfect. So use your training sessions to lock in your targets, try new combinations and work towards a race or game day plan that works for you!
