17.01.2022 Today we integrated PATHS and Visual Art and created art based on a feeling. We first looked at Jimmy Pike’s artwork based on Japingka Country, and how he used shapes and colours to represent emotions. The girls got creative and used different body parts as a canvas to create a certain feeling. We have such creative artists!

15.01.2022 From October 1st our school is participating in the Containers for Change project. Wherever you are in Western Australia you can help us by taking your eligible recyclable containers to a drop off site listed at the link below. Eligible containers include most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard beverage containers between 150ml and 3L. If you are unsure, please check the website FAQs. Simply use the scheme ID of our school (below) and the value of your re...fund (10 cents per bottle) will be transferred to our school bank account. These funds will help us purchase equipment for our learning programs. Every little bit you can do will directly help the kids at Purnululu Aboriginal Independent Community School! When you drop off your containers, its really important that you put them in a bag or box and mark your donation with our ID code which is: C10290445 (take a photo of this so you can remember!) Local donations can be left at Doon Doon Roadhouse and East Kimberley Job Pathways in Warmun. Thank you for your support!

02.01.2022 Today the school and community bid farewell and paid tribute to the life and spirit of a very special Elder. He was a passionate teacher of culture and language and was remembered in his eulogy as one who believed in the two-way story, that we might be black or white, but we all have the same spirit as human beings We honour his legacy at Purnululu School and will strive every day to keep his vision that Gija language and culture remain at the centre of all we do. Rest In Peace Mr Peters.
