25.01.2022 After todays government announcement, I am assuming I will be closed for 6 weeks. I think? I dont even know. As a business owner Ive been completely left in the dark to await for the next announcement in the coming days. So if you have an appointment coming up, assume for now that it is canceled, until I find out for sure whats happening. Sorry, this is completely out of my hands.

25.01.2022 For those of you whose pets desperately require grooming, call your vet! Vets are allowed to shave dogs off in emergency cases. Groomers are not allowed to work whatsoever, if a groomer is working, theyre working illegally. While I understand people are getting desperate now, especially with the weather warming up, I am unable to work, and no, I cant sneak your pet to my house to groom as Ive been asked several times. Call your vet, they can help! Its still unclear about when groomers are allowed back to work, maybe the end of this month, maybe the end of next, who knows! When I know, Ill do a post. And once I know Ill be redoing my schedule, which is like a puzzle to work out and will probably lead to me being in tears a lot through that process because of the stress involved, but it will be done.

24.01.2022 Myth: Cats don’t need grooming Truth: Cats do need help grooming. It helps keep their skin healthy, helps prevent fur balls, shedding, matting ect. Left: This is Ophelia before a groom. She had some little knots, lots of dander (dandruff) and heaps of shedding hair. ... Right: After a bath, dry and brush out her coat is now shiny again, she isn’t shedding, doesn’t have dander all through her coat, and she smells beautiful!

23.01.2022 How freaking cute is Rambo?!

22.01.2022 This is why groomers should still be working, its essential to the animals health and wellbeing! We arent just dog washers as some people like to refer to us.

21.01.2022 #groomingisessential

21.01.2022 Poppy! One would think that I had just groomed a husky by the amount of hair that comes out of one tiny little cat!

21.01.2022 Urghhh here we go again!

21.01.2022 Please have a read of this article to hear the horror stories if you are planning on grooming your pet yourself!

20.01.2022 I dont even know what to say. Ive woken up to this news this morning. I feel defeated.

19.01.2022 I’m back tomorrow, finally! After several weeks of heart ache, I can officially work again tomorrow. Everyone has been sent their appointments for the next few weeks of me catching up, please be patient with me. From what I’m hearing from other groomers, it’s completely mentally draining with the state of pets everyone is seeing getting back to grooming, I imagine there will be many tears over the next few weeks. I can’t wait to see you all!

19.01.2022 Have you ever seen a fish with jowls like a bulldog or pug? Now you have! This is my own personal fish Brian the Oranda Goldfish.

18.01.2022 A day late, whoops! But a throw back from 3 years ago. Happy Easter!

17.01.2022 The results are in for Australias favourite groomer, and although I didnt win, (my friend Danica from Get Fluffed Mobile Dog Grooming did) I got to see what people had written about me, I learnt that I have some of the sweetest customers, and I obviously talk way too much sorry! Thank you all!

17.01.2022 Please sign this. It isnt about money, its become an animal welfare issue now. And as most of my customers know, we can work together contactless.

16.01.2022 Hopefully! Once I get confirmation Ill sort out everyones appointment who missed out due to stage 4. Youll have to bare with me during this time, Im only 1 person.

14.01.2022 As I sit here crying, I just want to say thank you to my customers who have been completely amazing through this absolute shit show of a roller coaster. While I spent several hours rearranging my bookings over the weekend when the announcement was made that groomers were able to work (except mobile, so I organised to work from home), and then advised everyone when their spots were, the government have now back flipped and said only retail groomers were allowed to be open, not even those who have salons set up from their homes or mobile groomers like myself planning to work from home. To say Im livid is an understatement. I just really appreciate how amazing and understanding my customers have been, youve helped make this just a little bit easier by your beautiful words.

13.01.2022 Purrfectly Pawsome is still in action but is now enforcing NO HUMAN CONTACT I say this in the nicest way possible, I dont want to see any of you As much as Ill miss our chats, everyone knows I love a chat! We will catch up on all the latest when its all over, or, just shoot me a message! The virus is spreading and Im doing my absolute best to keep my business clean, stop the spread of infection, and keep everyones pets groomed in the process. ... Please have your dogs tied up, cats in cat carriers/cages and ready to go before my arrival. Please leave clear access to your power point and water mains, so I can plug in without any hassles. Please let me know via text or Facebook prior to the groom what you would like done with your pet. The van will be sprayed down with disinfectant after each household I visit. As for payment, if you would prefer to pay via cash, please place the correct money inside of a zip lock bag. Message me prior to the groom if you are unsure of the price. Otherwise, I do have eftpos/pay pass. As this runs off my phone, for grooms over $100 I will do it in 2 seperate transactions, so my phone doesnt need to be touched. My phone and terminal will be disinfected after every use. I also accept payment via the transfer app called Beemit, which is great, simple to use, has zero fees, and transfers in real time. Otherwise, bank transfer, however this will need to be done before the groom and Ill need a copy of the transfer receipt sent to me (sorry, this is due to forever chasing payments for bank transfers). I understand completely if people are not comfortable with me coming during these times, so please let me know ASAP if you would like to cancel your upcoming appointments until this has all settled down. And for those customers of mine who own pets that cannot go without grooming, but arent in the best financial position right now due to losing their job, or those self employed who have lost out on work, please let me know, and we can arrange something. I will continue to work until the government decides that groomers need to close too, but for now, we can continue to operate, as long as we are abiding by the current health and safety rules in place. If you are unwell or have flu like symptoms, please cancel your appointment and seek medical treatment ASAP. Together, we can get through this. Its not going to be forever, but we need to abide by the rules in place to stop the spread. Everyone please stay safe. I look forward to chatting with everyone again very soon!

13.01.2022 Please share! #clipandcollect

13.01.2022 Rambo is just amazing

12.01.2022 Caution dog owners: baits (1080, PAPP) were laid professionally for pest control purposes along the forested areas of Cardinia Creek, North of Inglis Road (not ...the Akoonah Park side). The marked area on the map is where the baits are predicted to be laid, so dog owners should keep their dogs on their leashes if walking nearby. UPDATE: The baited area extends further into the parkland outside this marked area, so caution should be taken in the wider 'Cardinia Creek Parkland' area on the north side of Inglis Road.

12.01.2022 From todays announcement, I wont be back grooming in a week, not even sure if it will even be next month as groomers will have to wait for the list of businesses from the government that are allowed to open. This just sucks so much. Completely out of my hands. You will all just have to stayed tuned until I find out what is happening. Please in the interim ensure your dogs and cats are brushed, even when I am able to work again, I have such a large back log to get through. So many animals are already suffering and desperately needing grooming.

11.01.2022 Facebook is depressing lately. Show me your pets! These are my girls Georgia (2 1/2) and Gizmo (15)

10.01.2022 Yay for this time of year this is my own dog

09.01.2022 Thinking of everyone going through these tough times right now. We are all in this together. And it wont be forever! But in the mean time, hug your dog, or cat, or whatever pet you have.

08.01.2022 I often get asked why cat grooming is so expensive compared to dog grooming. Here’s an example! This is from a cat scratch yesterday afternoon. (Could have been a bite, but I’m sure it was a scratch, although it happened so quickly and with zero warning).... Even though I had cut the nails short, this is the damage I received. A few puncture wounds in my hand and now a large infection. So, if you’re ever bitten or receive a deep scratch from a cat, clean it out thoroughly (which I did) and seek antibiotics from your doctor straight away. Cat bites and scratches are very dangerous. Thank you to all my amazing customers that I had to cancel today, everyone knows I never cancel, I hate cancelling, but I honestly feel like death today and my hand is so sore and I don’t have much movement in it so even driving isn’t easy.

08.01.2022 When my own dog is a massive jerk enjoy the laugh.

07.01.2022 Perfect picture example of why cats need grooming! (Not my groom)

07.01.2022 It is insanely busy lately for some crazy reason. I now have almost a 2 month wait on appointments, so booking in advance is essential! Also, as usual, the Christmas period is almost booked up, so get in now to avoid disappointment. Pakenham, Officer and Beaconsfield only.

06.01.2022 Unfortunately I have had to make the tough decision to temporarily stop taking new appointments for the time being. So sorry for the inconvenience! As some of you know, my son badly broke his arm last week, unfortunately the first fix they did hasnt worked, so now hes having to have surgery to fix it properly which is going to mean a whole heap of specialist appointments over the next few weeks. Unfortunately this may mean Ill have to shuffle some existing jobs around to accommodate these appointments, but Ill be sure to give as much notice as possible. Sorry, and thanks so much for your understanding!

06.01.2022 This picture sums up how I feel after sorting my schedule and tweaking it to (hopefully) make it run as smooth as possible. I have now messaged everyone their appointments, I don’t think I’ve forgotten anyone, but if I somehow have and you haven’t heard from me please let me know ASAP. I look forward to seeing you all soon!

06.01.2022 With New Years Eve and the fireworks approaching, there’s no better time than now to desensitise your dog to the sounds to try make those scary sounds less terrifying for them and to hopefully prevent them trying to escape in the moment. This is especially handy to condition puppies to the sounds, some breeders even do this from birth. Here’s a link that plays the sounds to help condition them. You can also find similar videos to help desensitise storms too.

05.01.2022 From rags to riches. Charlies owner took immaculate care of her coat during my closure. She only had 1 tiny knot in her coat, despite how long and scruffy she was looking!

04.01.2022 There is currently an 8 week wait for appointments, so book ahead to avoid disappointment. My regulars need not worry, your appointments are already locked in.

04.01.2022 What do groomers do in lockdown when theyre bored and missing work? Duh, groom their stinky, muddy dogs of course! Not sure why my 15 year old dog Gizmo feels the need to dig with her face. Dont forget to brush your dogs during this lockdown period to avoid them getting matted and needing to be shaved at their next groom.

03.01.2022 Please vote for me!

03.01.2022 Apologies to everyone that has received an automated message from my page thanking them for their recommendation. I have no idea what’s happened but it’s glitched, done it’s own thing and it’s decided to randomly message so many people I’ve only just noticed now. Hope you’re all keeping well and sane!

02.01.2022 Hi All, A quick update about Covid-19. I am still operating. I will be wearing a mask as required by law from 11.59pm Wednesday. I still have my policies and procedures in place which have been slightly updated. Please read www.purrfectlypawsome.com.au/c19... If you do not agree to my policies and procedures, are sick or cannot afford it, please let me know ASAP so I can cancel your appointment. Rudeness and obnoxious behaviour will not be tolerated. As I found in the start of this pandemic I became a few of my customers verbal punching bags. It wont be tolerated, youll find yourself needing a new groomer. We are all in this stressful time together. It cost nothing to be kind. Take care everyone, and stay safe!

02.01.2022 For those of my customers who had appointments booked that have missed out due to stage 4 restrictions, can you please send me through, via here, messenger or text message, photos of the current state of your pets. Matting, skin issues, long nails, long hair in their eyes, matted bums and any other area. I want to make a collage of what stage 4 has caused and put it forward to local MPs so they can be our voice. This is an animal welfare issue. Can you honestly look at your cat or dog now and imagine the terrible state theyll be in in 6 plus weeks time when restrictions are lifted? We need them lifted now!

01.01.2022 Voting closes tomorrow night. Dont forget to vote for your favourite groomer!
