24.01.2022 We need a foster home for Cruz TODAY! Please message us if you can help, even if it’s only temporarily. To be a foster carer you need to have an available room to isolate Cruz from other pets to begin with, live in the western suburbs so you’re close to the vets we use, have a car for transport and the financial means to provide for your foster (we can help out with food/litter if we receive donations).

22.01.2022 OSCAR - MISSING FROM TURNSTONE DR, POINT COOK - REWARD FOR RETURN

22.01.2022 SPROUT UPDATE We are blessed to be supported by so many animal lovers in our community! We put a call out earlier today and you answered.. Little Sprout is currently in recovery from his operation and doing well. ... We have some amazing people to thank - Dr Lisia Sturm and nurses Wendy Black and Holly Sanders of Hobsons Bay Vet Clinic! This operation required teeny surgery for a teeny boy! From all accounts, surgery couldn’t have gone better. Thank you to everyone that sent their well wishes and donations today, that knocked it out of the park at over $1500! THANK YOU!!! You made this possible, so on behalf of Sprout, our team of volunteers and foster carers, I thank you so very much. Some photos and video (in comments) from today.

21.01.2022 ** TRANSPORT SORTED ** URGENT TRANSPORT REQUEST - MON 23/11/2020 Hey guys I’m hoping someone about this morning. We have a very sick kitten currently at the Emergency Centre in Kensington that needs to be picked up and transported to a vet in Newport. Is anyone available to assist? Carrier will be required (I think).

21.01.2022 Foster carers needed! We have a number of requests to take in pregnant mums and mums with kittens. We desperately need carers before we can commit to taking them in. If you think you can help please send us a message

20.01.2022 I normally don’t do lost posts for dogs on our page, but this little darling Turbo needs his face splashed everywhere to bring him home! There are some real scumbags out there. Please share! Stolen from Poowong (South East heading towards Leongatha) in Victoria. *Missing since 17 August.

17.01.2022 PLEASE SEE OUR OTHER POST FOR LATEST UPDATE https://www.facebook.com/1595458790723389/posts/2880537888882133/?extid=0&d=n WE NEED YOUR HELP ... I have just found out we have one of our babies Sprout, needing to have emergency surgery today. As he is only 4 weeks old, it’s going to be difficult, complicated (of course risky) and will cost us well over $1k (likely much more). We haven’t fundraised for a while, but we are definitely asking for assistance today! He has a condition called Atresia Ani, which is a congenital defect. He has a membrane over his anus, that is causing him major issues with pooping. This surgery is needed to correct this, as life threatening. The anus has to be opened, preserving the glands and sphincter, with removal of any narrowed portion of the rectum, and the end of the healthy rectum sutured to the anus. It's fiddly and complicated and prognosis is guarded for all cases. Plus add in the fact this little boy is only 4 weeks, it’s teeny tiny surgery! We want to give this little guy the best chance we can, so we are praying for him today and would love everyone’s thoughts and prayers (donations help too!). He needs all that he can get! Donations are needed, large or small. Even if only a few dollars, we would be so grateful. It all adds up. Our account details are below: Bank : Westpac Account Name: Purrs of Point Cook Inc. BSB: 033-161 Account Number: 232970 Reference: Your Surname and Sprouts surgery. All donations over $2 are tax deductible. Please inbox us for a receipt or you can email us at: [email protected] Will update once I know more. PLEASE SHARE - Thank you! If you would like to read up on his condition, please see link below. https://www.dvm360.com//surgery-stat-diagnosis-and-surgica

12.01.2022 ** CARER FOUND ** FOSTER HOME NEEDED ASAP This is Tigger. His foster mummy is heading back home to New Zealand and won’t be able to look after him for much longer. ... Tig is a lovely senior kitty who had to have an eye removed recently, due to a malignant growth. He does need to be in a home as the only pet. If you are in a position to foster him until adoption and are located in Point Cook or surrounds, near one of our vet clinics located in Altona North, St Albans or West Footscray, we would love to hear from you. For further info please inbox us.

10.01.2022 PLEASE READ IF YOU’RE LOOKING TO ADOPT A KITTEN Kitten season is here and soon we will have kittens looking for homes. We are being inundated with messages because it seems EVERYONE would love to adopt a kitten So if you’ve sent us a message please just keep an eye on our page, as kittens will be advertised soon. We do not waitlist animals, as our intake is ever changing and this really isn’t in the best interest of animals in our care. ... When kittens are advertised we will open an expression of interest for each one. We expect demand to be very high for the next few months and this way we can find the very best suited home for each kitty. So keep a close eye on the page and make sure when you see a kitty you would love to add to your family, you message us straight away so you don’t miss out Also please be aware of the following: We often advertise before they have had all their vet work complete, so be aware that after securing the adoption you may have to wait a few weeks before your new furbaby joins your family. All meet and greets are currently being conducted via zoom/FaceTime. Picture is for attention only, these kittens have found homes. Thanks everyone

09.01.2022 Happy Friday Everyone! And have a great weekend

08.01.2022 ANIMAL CRUELTY INCIDENT IN WERRIBEE You have to be a really disturbed POS to do this to a defenceless animal. If anyone has seen or heard anything in regards to, please report it. Believed to have occurred on 14 October. This person/persons needs to be caught.

05.01.2022 Can you give this senior boy a loving home? Meet Tigger! I'm a sweet older gentleman with the most beautiful swirls on my silver tabby coat. ... My day mostly involves looking handsome, finding a cosy spot to snooze in and coming out in the evening for some quality time. I'm not a lap cat (which is just as well, given how chonky I am) but I will wind myself around your legs and jump up on the couch ready for Netflix. I love head scratches and will butt my big ol' heavy head in your palm for more, although I'll let you know when I'm fed up with them via a light nip. If you're wondering about my eye, well, it had to be removed for medical reasons. I'm all checked out now though, just something to keep... an eye on (get it?). I have a gorgeous rumbly purr, while my meows are reserved for complaints to the manager. Overall I'm a super chilled-out, low-maintenance housemate, although my inner kitten springs out at the sight of a ribbon toy! I'm perfectly happy to be left to my own devices and would be fine with someone who works a lot and wants some company when they get home. Send us a message if you would like to express your interest in adopting Tigger! Adoption fee $200 All of our cats and kittens are suited for indoor homes only Not suited to a home with dogs or small children Flea & worm treated Microchipped - 982009105191221 Vaccinated Desexed DOB - 6/2/2007 Location - Yarraville Source Number: RE100076

05.01.2022 ADOPTED We can’t believe we have had no enquires for this beautiful young cat? Meet Rebecca!... Look into those beautiful eyes, Miss Rebecca is a stunning little cat, who is extremely sweet and loving. Rebecca came into care pregnant and after doing an amazing job with her babies she is now ready to live the life she truly deserves. She’s a young cat herself and still enjoys playing now and then, especially chasing a laser around! Rebecca is very smoochy and will often rub up against your leg looking for a pat or cuddle. She is also happy to sit by the window and watch the birds. She would enjoy the company of another friendly cat and will be a beautiful addition to any household. Rebecca is looking for a loving family to spoil her like the sweet princess she is. Send us a message if you would like to express your interest in adopting Rebecca! Adoption fee $200 All of our cats and kittens are suited for indoor homes only Not suitable for a home with young active dogs Flea & worm treated Microchipped Vaccinated Desexed DOB - 3/3/2019 Location - Maidstone Microchip: 956000013209736 Source Number: RE100076

04.01.2022 Happy Halloween anyone keen to give this pumpkin carving a go? One of our talented foster carers Bryan made this and we think it’s amazing! Share with us your kitty Halloween inspired pics below

02.01.2022 URGENT FOSTER CARER NEEDED I really hate it when family put animal welfare people in difficult situations, one of those being... you organise for somewhere for them to go, or put them to sleep.... this makes me furious and my heart hurt. Animals are not things to be discarded or thrown away because you don’t want them anymore. Pets are for life!! ... Would you throw your kids away? Your parents? No.. so don’t f#*king do it to your pets!!! They provide unconditional love and some people repay them by giving them a death sentence. To these people I say f#%k you!! You don’t deserve the love of any animals! Having said that, we have two incoming cats; one male, one female, 8 years old, vet worked, that need a temporary home until adoption. A fostet home where they are by themselves is probably best, but I won’t rule out homes with other animals just yet. If you can help with these lovely cats, please hit us up and inbox now. If you can’t help, please share!

02.01.2022 Meet Clover & Cleveland These to beautiful ginger brothers are available for adoption separately or as a pair. Clover loves his food and nothing will stop him. He will jump to try and get it. He loves chasing ball, rolled up pieces of paper and toilet rolls. ... Cleveland is an active boy, the braver of the 2 and less likely to allow strangers to pick him up. However, when bonded, he will jump up for cuddles. Cleveland has dry eyes that may require eye drops in the future. Both boys would do well in a home with older kids or adults and no dogs. Send us a message if you would like to express your interest in adopting Clover or Cleveland. Adoption fee $250 for each or $450 as a pair All of our cats and kittens are suited for indoor homes only Not suitable for a home with young children Not suitable for a home with dogs Flea & worm treated Microchipped Vaccinated Desexed DOB - 8/8/2020 Location - Altona meadows Microchip - 95600010933395 & 95600010933395 Source Number: RE100076
