10.01.2022 Exciting juvenile Sprint Gordon will look to push his Group 3 Devonport Chase claims when he starts a raging hot favourite for race nine over the 452 metres in ...Devonport this afternoon. With the $25,000 to-the-winner series now just a fortnight away, some of Tasmania’s finest young sprinters are looking to solidify their place in the group 3 event. The Blake Pursell-trained Sprint Gordon is one of those, the son of Spring Gun eyeing a third successive victory after recent 25.83 wins in Hobart and last week’s seven-length 25.81s victory in Devonport. Winner at four his 13 assignments, Sprint Gordon, a litter-brother to the hugely talented Twisted Reality, will start prohibitive odds for the ninth event from box one. The best price on offer for the fashionably bred chaser is $1.20, where his main opposition looks to be Hello Lenny (box two) and Born Jamie (box three), the latter a kennel mate to Sprint Gordon, also prepared by Pursell. The fast class event on the card, race seven over the 452 metres, sees Jillian Stamford’s prolific winning sprinter Stop Line take his place from box one, a draw he’s had on six occasions for four wins and two seconds. The son of St. Pierre was simply awesome landing his 27th career victory last Tuesday in a best of day 25.51, the performance showing all and sundry he’s spot on for the fast approaching Devonport Chase. Quoted around the $1.30 mark for Tuesday’s race, the only conceivable danger as far as betting is concerned is 20-race winner Be Like Bill for Blake Pursell, drawn in box two. Regarded as one of Tasmania’s best gallopers, Be Like Bill does have a tendency to get up the track a bit at box rise, a set of circumstances that may very well make the race for a rampaging Stop Line. The ‘shorties’ for Stamford don’t stop there either, with Leice Prayer to go around tomato sauce odds in race eight from the red also. Claiming a seventh career win last week in Devonport with a 6 length 25.63 success, the speedy daughter of Dyna Double One looks mighty hard to beat again as she pushes her Devonport Chase claims also. The first race on a strong 10 race card gets underway at 12.42 and is broadcast on Sky1 and live-streamed on tasracing.com.au.

Then we had Jamo take out the Bill Grice Memorial in a super run jumping out of box 5 Last runner we had was the kennel champ in the Group 1 Hobart thousand Sprint Gordon who began beautiful off the inside draw to run a brilliant 3rd against a top class field!

09.01.2022 Great week for the team bringing up 6 winners in the last 7 days with 1 winner last Monday in Launceston, 3 in Hobart Thursday night and two last night in Launceston, The kennel Twisted Reality and Sprint Gordon both returned with brilliant wins in Hobart Thursday night along with new comer to kennel Forever Dreaming making it 3 out of 3 for the night, last night in Launceston we had a couple of first starts running brilliantly to quinella our first race and Booralite finishing the night off in good style!

07.01.2022 Twisted Reality is building a big reputation on the Apple Isle for trainer Blake Pursell ... the son of Spring Gun the fastest qualifier for Thursday's Breeders Classic Final at Hobart

04.01.2022 Great night in Hobart last night with Sprint Gordon taking out the prestigious Tasmanian gold cup, We also had Patty Lee win to make the double for the night and four winners for the week we continue next week with racing in Devonport Wednesday and then we head back to Hobart on Thursday night

03.01.2022 Talented sprinter Hello Rhonda justified her favourite tag in Launceston on Thursday night, recording a dominant win in her heat of the Crocmedia Tasmanian Spri...nt Championship over 515 metres. Drawn off the track in box eight, the daughter of Fernando Bale and Sing The Song jumped brilliantly and swept across the field, leading by almost two lengths heading into the first turn. Out in front she powered away, scoring by 6 1/2 lengths over Breaker Upper in a slick 29.67s. Trained by Robin Grubb, the white and brindle bitch equalled the quickest time of the series after Be Like Bill posted 29.67s landing his qualifier. The son of Kc And All bounced back to form with an astonishing performance, taking his heat from She’s A Princess by three lengths, notching up his 17th victory for trainer Blake Pursell. For trainer Robin Grubb, he was elated with Hello Rhonda’s heat win, the track specialist going one step closer to representing Tassie in the series grand final at Cannington on 24 August. She’s a great bitch she is back to her absolute best, Robin said. She had to negotiate a tough box draw. When I saw the field she was set to face I did wonder whether she could get across. Getting that clean run across let her balance up and put her rivals away. Hello Rhonda has now won 15 of her 34 career starts with 14 minor placings for the Grubb Family. Brighton trainer Blake Pursell will be eyeing success in both the Tassie Sprint and Distance finals next Thursday. Set to line-up Be Like Bill in the sprint decider, the Brighton conditioner has Dahlhaus going around in the distance, following his bold front-running performance from box seven on Thursday. The son of Trewly Special didn’t give his rivals a chance, hitting the ground running from box rise. Alarming Betty flew home late, though Dahlhaus did enough to score by 1-1/4 lengths in 42.94s. The Anthony Bullock-trained Bronelly Jacob claimed the first heat in 42.84s. Dahlhaus will definitely benefit from the run, Blake added. I’ve given the dog every possible chance to get him fit in preparation for the distance heats he should be right at his personal peak for the final.
