22.01.2022 **Please Read & Share** Good Evening Everyone. I wanted to share a heartfelt & heartwarming experience & hope you in return will share this story. Human Kindness in the shape of Purton Place Preloved Shops... **LANDLORDS** Those that know my team & l will tell you how much we love what we do. We have been considering closing all week & it has tugged at our heartstrings so much. Everyday l say its the last day & we should shut up shop, but we are right back the next to keep fighting. Saturday was going to be our last day as we are struggling to make rent. On Friday we were thrown a lifeline from our landlords which allowed us to stay open for as long as we could. Unfortunately & with the heaviest of hearts we will be **TEMPORARILY CLOSED** As of Tuesday the 24/3/20. It saddens my team & l to close our doors & we will miss all your smiling faces, banter & laughs. I cant say when we will be back but.... We will reopen at some point. For my landlords...... Dave & Andrew run a plastic moulding business. **ROTO INDUSTRIES** They manufacture Water tank, Playgrounds, Wine Cubes plus so much more. Roto Industries is Australian made & owned & right in the heart of Pakenham. We have hope for our future thanks to this selfless act of Human Kindness from our landlords. Roto Industries, Andrew & Dave we cannot thankyou enough for helping us keep this vital service alive & operational. 19.01.2022 Good Evening All. We have missed all your smiling faces & hope you are all doing well. It will be fantastic to open our doors once again on Friday the 11th of June at 9.30am.... There was so much added in the shop before we closed. Dvds, Cds, Books, bric a brac, clothing, mens, women's, children's & baby wear, linen, toys, shoes, handbags, wallets, jewellery plus so much more. It is a requirement that face masks are worn & we keep our social distance. There will be a QR scan code on the door plus a manual sign in book as per government guidelines. 18.01.2022 Good Afternoon Everyone. Hope all is well x. During stage 3 we decided to keep the shop closed & do a deep clean & do some further changes. We were half way through then stage 4 hit. Although the shop has been closed we have been working behind the scenes & have assisted over 50 families. In a 6 week time frame we helped 22 Domestic Violence survivors & provided Starter packs. Gift cards for essentials, kids toys, clothing ect....... We were lucky that we had some funds left after paying running costs, however it is with a heavy heart that we have no financial aide left AT THIS STAGE. Unfortunately we receive no government support. We can still provide material aide items such as clothing, footwear ect... We will reopen along with all other retailers as guided. Purton Place is working on some exicting projects & cant wait to get them off the ground & introduce them into our community. Thankyou to you all for the continuing support. 17.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone. **Sharing** Life before covid.... I had been in discussions with Monash health & Purton Place was organising to place essential items in the maternity ward for vunerable mums & their babies. Unfortunately there are a lot of babies that are born drug dependent & once born & once able to the mothers leave hospital & their babies to get drug's as unfortunate as it is, it's the harsh reality. As soon as we are able to & within government & hospital guidelines we will setting up an area within the maternity ward to assist these babies. Whilst in hospital the babies are dressed in hospital clothes & wrapped in hospital blankets. That's where we come in we will provide clothing, nappies, formula, blankets, ect.... I could not be happier to start this incentive as everyone knows how much l love children. We will keep you all updated. Thankyou to all for your continuing support. Angel & team

13.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone. Hope all is well. After another busy day we were able to put out heaps more new items throughout the entire store. There is a really nice range of clothing & over 100 dresses to choose from. Our plus sz racks have also been topped up. ... The toy room has been restocked thanks to Gareth & Christopher. Pam has been busy pricing & displaying our new arrivals. Robyn washing clothing & bric a brac & checking all the toys are in working condition. Too top it off we have Lesley. She helped for 1/2 a day on Tuesday & in that time transformed the new childrens clothing room. What an amazing team. Angel & team.

As a lot of you may know my students have been undertaking online lessons with me, but at no cost. I have seen my students and parents struggle during this difficult time and it just broke my heart. I decided to pause all payments indefinitely. I want all of my students to be in engaged in what they love and still have stability in their daily lives. I love to sing and I love to teach, and I strongly feel as a teacher and as an artist that everyone is entitled to pursuing what they love. I am offering FREE SINGING LESSONS for all students and families who are struggling and need to be in engaged. Music helps with your mental health, it helps to express yourself, to have a creative outlet and so so much more. Both children have special needs & not having a roof over their heads has caused a lot of trauma.... I can personally vouch for this mumma. There are NO issues financially, just struggling to obtain a house. Yes she has applied for a lot of homes. Not only is it contaminated it poses a health risk to our team. It may have been accidentally donated & meant to have been for the rubbish. 06.01.2022 Good Evening Everyone. **Social Media has come to the rescue** Fantastic News. The mumma & her 2 children that had been sleeping in her car have been offered 2 rooms until a house becomes available.... A lady that seen my post has offered to accommodate this beautiful family until a house becomes available. I will be making some noise, stirring the hornets nest & ruffling some feathers as "l believe" more needs to be done. Emergency housing. When you call them & liaise for a week there response "we will call back" & indeed they do only to be told we dont have anything & will call back on Monday?? What more of an emergency is there than a mother & 2 children under 6 sleeping in a car. All services have been even more so stretched way beyond it's limit due to Covid & there are waiting lists. I will be lobbying our local MP as the plight of this family is unfortunately common. We also wanted to thank everyone for the continuing support. It has been overwhelming. There are loads of new items throughout the entire store even an assorted box of brand new Rimmel, Maybelline, costume necklace/ring sets. Would make great Christmas Gifts. 03.01.2022 Good Morning Everyone. Hope you are all doing ok. It has been a while since l last posted. I have been inundated with messages & wanted to say thankyou to everyone that has checked in to see if l am ok & of course to enquire when we will reopen.... As everyone is aware sadly we will not be opening until the end of October? Donations - Unfortunately we are unable to accept any donations under the stage 4 restrictions. We did place a call & have been advised that it does not fall under the 4 reasons to leave home. It was also advised that the charity bins are off limits as it MAY carry a fine. If you can hold off & have somewhere to store your donations until the shop reopens we would really appreciate it. Again thanks to each & everyone of you. 02.01.2022 Good Evening everyone. ***WE ARE OPENING*** Monday the 18th Of May at 9.30am... We have missed all of your lovely faces. Please dont be afraid to come in and browse, and pick up a bargain. We promise to keep an appropriate social distance from each other When you buy from Purton Place you are helping twice - you are keeping our little shop afloat and also helping us continue to support vulnerable families, our local community, animals aide, cancer council plus so much more. Wouldnt it be amazing if we could pull together to show they are not forgotten? What we could do! Shop in a store that helps those who really are at risk of being left behind in this panic. And in the process, maybe just pick up a little bargain for yourself too ;) We have of course put things in place. ie.. Hand Sanitiser, Wipes & disposable gloves will be at the front of the store. You also have the option of using our bathroom for some good old fashion soap & water. We have always prided ourselves when it came to cleanliness. All bric a brac is washed prior to displaying Clothes washed & even shoes are washed. All racks will also be wiped down throughout the day. We will continue with this practice.
