24.01.2022 SOLD! These two came as a job lot with another purchase a while back and as Xmas is coming I figured it was time to spruce them up and move them on. PW style, no half measures

24.01.2022 This morning's early jaunt, up out of the cool valley mist before the sun. Rather warm by the time I got home

21.01.2022 Something's cooking...

21.01.2022 The daily commute..

21.01.2022 Big day today, I'm pooped

20.01.2022 Pushie Wise 2, just around the corner, finally looking more like a useful storage facility than a hoarders den

19.01.2022 Blending in nicely to it's surroundings this fully pimped Cell single speed sports a Rustoleum colour shift custom paint job and some trick green bits. Priced (not?) to sell at $500 I don't mind keeping it for a while...

18.01.2022 One of mine today

14.01.2022 1990s vintage Edge brand bicycle. South African import. 19" steel frame, 56cm top tube. Marked large but I would say it's more like medium by todays standards.... 26" alloy quick release wheels withcassette rear hub. 21 speed Shimano rapid fire gears. Fully refurbished with new cables, bearings, grips, bell, and rust protection. All running gear in good mechanical condition. Rides great. $325

14.01.2022 Pedal back in time. This gorgeous, Japanese made, vintage Apollo has been lovingly refurbished with the frame cleaned and protected, new tyres, chain, freewheel, handlebars, cables, luxury seat and basket. $600

12.01.2022 This Raleigh 20, one of the first mass produced folding bikes, was built in Nottingham, England in 1974. It's had the full PW refurb, not without some challenges and slip ups..(the T..oops). Whatever I thought about these back in the day it deserves some kudos for having survived so long and it's owner will enjoy the smooth ride and the crisp Sturmey Archer gearchange. Not to mention the self adjusting brakes!!

11.01.2022 Malvern Star Wisp 2. Small frame. 700c wheels. Shimano Nexus 3 speed hub gear with back pedal brake. New alloy cranks and pedals, handlebars and stem, seat, handgrips, cables and chain.... All bearings overhauled, painted parts cleaned and protected. Sweet, smooth riding town bike. $375 Includes matching front wire basket which I've left off as I thought it looked better and the original wicker insert was missing but can happily reinstall. Seagrass rear basket can be fitted for an extra $50.

08.01.2022 This pair of Giant Upland SEs still have their original tyres and one can see by the condition that they've spent most of their life stored out of the elements. Fully rebuilt with upgrades from original factory spec; new alloy shell sealed bearing cartridge bottom bracket, stainless steel cables, NOS Shimano IG nickel plated chain. They ride, shift and stop beautifully.... $475 each. After sales service is available as are a selection of new and used racks, baskets, locks, lights etc. The bikes I refurbish have usually been stripped to the bare frame, with all parts cleaned, inspected, restored as much as possible and protected where appropriate using White Knight Rust Converter, Clearguard and Rustguard paints. They have been reassembled with meticulous attention to detail and some creative flair. Quality new parts are used when required and top quality lubricants. I have 40 years bicycle trade experience and am mindful of the environmental and ethical benefits of getting maximum life out of serviceable equipment. I will be happy to do ongoing maintenance on the bikes I sell. I am willing to negotiate prices but only face to face once you have seen and tried the bike. Low ball offers will be ignored. In addition to offering refurbished bikes for sale, I can repair/restore/pimp your own bike at my home based workshop in Mullumbimby. I can pick up and deliver within Byron shire for a reasonable fee. I may be able to custom build you a bike from my stock of frames and parts. I can assemble your online purchases to a professional standard and often help people find a suitable new or second hand bike through online retailers and marketplaces.

08.01.2022 I'm taking the weekend off and going camping with this little beauty.

07.01.2022 SOLD! Here's a pretty one Usual blurb. Listed on Marketplace

07.01.2022 Some current works in progress. I've been chipping away sourcing, stripping and prepping frames, wheels and parts for months now inbetween customer repairs and other stuff. There are the finished ones already posted and more on the way but here are a few that are mostly there and could easily be finished to your custom requirements; choice of handlebars, cable colour, trim and accessories. Contact me to discuss

06.01.2022 This one came back for some finishing touches

05.01.2022 This CAAD9 belongs to my regular riding buddy Nic. It's been in the PW workshop for a full overhaul and a touch of the wizard's zhuzh

04.01.2022 Sometimes I get my hands on something a bit more contemporary

04.01.2022 This refurbished Mongoose Crossway sports a heap of quality new parts; Schwalbe tyres, alloy handlebars, seat post, stainless steel cables, Shimano chain, anatomic seat. Perfect for leisurely cruising on bike paths or around town. A snip at $525

02.01.2022 It certainly wasn't love at first sight with this 1990s Hallmark 15 speed but it scrubbed up rather nicely I think. And I'm not the only one, sold pending pickup within 48 hours of it's public debut

01.01.2022 How's this for a transformation.. The final picture is the previous incarnation of this Micargi cruiser. Refinishing scruffy old frames and parts on a budget is always more challenging than I imagine it will be which is probably why I don't do it very often. Hopefully I'm getting a little bit better at it each time.
