20.01.2022 Another month gone by, another few Vuly play equipment installs as well as a few basketball hoops of various brands and some indoor/outdoor furniture. Give Put Together a call for your assembly needs.

19.01.2022 Another IKEA wardrobe today. This one being a PAX model with numerous different IKEA accessories and products incorporated into the overall piece. It never ceases to amaze me how versatile different IKEA products can be incorporated into one piece of furniture with all the holes lining up!

18.01.2022 A few highlights for the month of June, some disassembly/reassembly of Vuly play equipment in the Southern Highlands and Campbelltown as the owners had all moved houses, also various furniture assembly as too replacing the safety net of a Vuly Thunder Pro trampoline for a school in Tarmoor. Also pictured an outdoor deck that received a makeover and a rather dirty Sharp boombox that needing a full restoration on the inside as well as outside as it only worked in one channel with the radio and the cassette decks didn't work at all but now cleaned up and fully functioning for many more years to come. They certainly don't make them like this anymore.

18.01.2022 Helped out a lovely couple yesterday with assembling a trampoline for their daughter and it turns out that the parents were getting harassed not only by their daughter but also the couples friends and family as the trampoline was a gift to the daughter for Christmas in 2016! If you don't want to be a statistic on the harassment front then either a call or IM to me can save you from the ongoing bleating "Is it done yet?"

18.01.2022 Yesterday I had to move among other items was the Taj Mahal of cat cages. As it wouldnt fit through the gate of where it was being moved from It was disassembled first before being put back together at its new home.

17.01.2022 Helped out an elderly gentleman with assembling his garden shed that he purchased 12 months ago but was unable to get someone to go to Wilton to assemble it for him even though he was told otherwise. 17.01.2022 Had enough of doors slamming shut in a breeze because you forgot to put in the door stop? Try a magnetic door stopper! It looks good in either brushed stainless steel or chrome and has a super strong magnet to keep that door open on those breezy days. No moving parts either just open the door fully and it will stick to the stopper and simply pull the door away to close it. Easy.

15.01.2022 Another job started late last week with what I thought as a simple shed install to a bit of landscaping as well as hanging things up.

15.01.2022 A couple of days ago I came to the aid of a mum seeking additional storage with 3 flatpack laundry cabinets She made an attempt at one cabinet but with the demands of 2 youngsters under 4 and with the instructions in English but with pictures from a similar product she threw in the towel and left it for a few years.. Hubby wouldn't go near it. Now desperately wanting storage space I completed this for her and wall mounted them. Can you beat 2 years of waiting?

15.01.2022 A different type of flat pack, underfloor insulation completed just before the rain and cold! The customer is stoked with the results with the floorboards feeling warmer and quieter to walk on as well as also eliminating the drafts coming up between the tongue n groove. So much more comfortable and as a bonus being easier to heat this will result in reducing the electricity bill!

15.01.2022 Off to the Southern Highlands for reassembly of a Vuly Trampoline and playset. Just a tip when disassembling these moving house I would suggest putting them all in a strong plastic bag and wrap the bag in tape to one of the poles. The owner had put all of the bits in a bag but the bag couldn't be found. Contained were specialised stainless bolts and inserts which cannot be brought off the shelf. I did have spares to finish the job, otherwise it's a long drive to go back.

14.01.2022 Nearly new Vuly Hoop Pro for sale. $350 ono includes delivery and reassembly to Southern Sydney/Wollongong areas. Small scuff marks on board but otherwise new. Also includes basketball, pump and instruction manual. Product normally retails for $1299 + delivery and assembly!

14.01.2022 I once worked in the audio repair industry repairing radios/stereos/amps/turntables and the such before these units became throwaway in the 90's. Now it appears that some of these retro units are back in vogue but age has caught a lot of these up with blown speakers, tape decks not working as well as other faults and with parts not available it's also hard to find a repairer. These units are also collectible with the hipsters on Ebay or Gumtree with top dollar paid for good ...condition and working units especially with the bigger boomboxes. I picked up this impressive Sharp radio cassette boombox that had a broken cassette door, both decks not working and absolutely filthy after spending years in a shop on a busy road. It was stripped completely then cleaned inside and out, door and decks repaired before being reassembled. Some of these older units such as this one also have "line in" so they can be hooked up with a iPod/iPhone or a Bluetooth adaptor to play content giving them another lease on life. 13.01.2022 In the past few weeks Put Together has been busy getting around greater southern Sydney, Illawarra Campbelltown and even the Southern Highlands with numerous installations of Vuly swingsets, Trampolines as well as the odd splattering of other play equipment of different makes and types. One Vuly model swingset alone is 11 metres long has 6 different swings as well as a cubbyhouse with sandpit underneath. Talk about needing some serious space for that monster! 13.01.2022 Put together is now assembling play equipment for Vuly in southern Sydney and the Illawarra. The first pictured here being a medium Vuly 2 at a residence and the bottom ones being a Swingset Pro and a Thunder Pro both with shades as well for a school. There are a number already booked in for installation just in time for Christmas so now is the time to book in your installations to beat the madness that sneaks up upon us this time of year!

13.01.2022 It's been a while since my last update, done some cabinets, a few beds as well as a challenging gym set. The gym set instructions appeared to have pages missing and the pictures were only viewable with an electron microscope so it required some heavy thinking and testing of different bolts to ensure the correct ones were used as there were around 10 different sizes to play with. 12.01.2022 Another month gone for Put Together. Usual amount of Vuly Play equipment to assemble, a fence being setup to keep dogs out of a caravan area, swapping a gate over to open from the outside instead of in so same caravan can fit into the carport. Another few boomboxes to repair for a collector in Sydney and even getting as far south as Canberra to repair a botched installation of a Vuly trampoline. What will August bring?

11.01.2022 Now that things are cooling down the outdoor play equipment will be in hibernation for most households for the next few months although the Vuly cubby house playset assembled for the special needs children at a school I suspect will be used all year round. Should have seen it when I finished, it was a full house packed 3 deep of children!

10.01.2022 Had a laundry installation this week using Ikea cabinetry. Ikea furniture always looks great and goes together really well. The owners were also happy to do the bench top and handles themselves as they hadn't decided what to do with the handle placement yet.

04.01.2022 Completed a job assembling a house load of new furniture and it must be said that this wardrobe/storage unit is easily the most fiddly IKEA flat pack Ive yet encountered. Its a clever design as well as fully configurable and it was this that caught me out with the drawers as I had to rearrange them as the instructions placed them high up on the unit Next time too I know to work from the bottom up, not top down as I also discovered as well that once again I had to disassemble the top drawers to assemble the one below it.

02.01.2022 Good afternoon all. Over the past few weeks I've have been busy with a McMansion cubby house with it finally being completed today. It had been sitting in his garage since 2015. Client also wanted a retaining wall and staging area constructed to put it on hence the additional time involved. 16 tons of sand and materials were wheelbarrowed in by hand for the construction.... The ground works were full of rocks requiring a jack hammer and the run of mid 30's to 40 degree days only made it harder. I've still yet to complete the banister for the steps and retaining wall when I return again in a few weeks. 01.01.2022 Another day another boombox restored. This one was requiring a belt kit which had to come directly from Japan and a clean of switches as one channel lacked volume. 1970's tech consisted of a lot of hard wiring between circuits so the belt replacement took 4 plus hours as removal of the circuit boards was required to get access to the 3 belts. Two belts had disintegrated into a sticky goo which required further disassembling of the deck mechanism to clean. ... These units also sold for a staggering US$500 back in 1977 so because of this are considered very rare today. They are also infamous for being hard to work on! This particular unit was won in a game show by its owner and is in excellent cosmetic and now working condition.
