17.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Penrith Basketball Association own Mathew Nielsen. A junior superstar who played at the PVRSC and went on to play for the boomers, then later to assist the Perth wildcats to 3 Championships has landed a head coaching role in the NBA G League. We wish him all the best as always.

11.01.2022 Community Update

11.01.2022 The PVRSC is set to reopen. Final OC was granted yesterday by the certifier allowing the PVRSC to reopen our doors. The centre will be reopening to its first event of 2021 on January 4th for Hoopfest. There will be more restoration works happening then as well with some interruption to the car park for a few days. Courts 3 & 4 will be closed until the end of January while the floor is still being replaced. Casual Shooting dates and times will be posted in January. Firstly ...again thank you to the Liberal Party Melissa McIntosh MP for working hard to obtain funding for $1.2million for our community. We want to say a huge thanks to IQR Projects , GHD Group Australia, and Penrith City Council for all their hard work through this very difficult time for our community and for having the passion and desire to get us back open in January after being closed since March 2020. Our fire Hydrant bursting was a huge blow (literally) but everyone did their best to get it fixed. Special mentions to some of the trades. Adam Hubbard Urban Painting & Decorating Dannik Plumbing SignShine GTile BPS Locksmiths Haymes Paint Hanson Metal Roofing Dunn & Farrugia Fencing and Gates SCA Engineering Star Clean Australia Ripa Concrete Cutting, Add-Value Building Services, Brennan Plumbing, Bradshaw Electrical. I'm sure I'm missing many but you know who you are! Here are some photos were taken yesterday of what our community can look forward to from January 4th.

10.01.2022 Sewerage all gets the tick form the inspectors, now its time to start building walls.

10.01.2022 We have one electric hot water system left which we are selling. DUX Proflo 250T136 at 259L. Manufactured 5/7/18 but was only installed in march last year. Please make an offer and email [email protected] if you would like it.

09.01.2022 *** GM PVRSC Statement regarding the Current Closure *** As you know the PVRSC wants to ensure we keep our community updated as much as possible. We know your trust in us is earnt, and we want to apologise in taking some time to respond. To put simply it is complicated. Firstly, in no way at all, are the current building renovation works related to the issues and to suggest so is false. Our builders and project team have been world-class, honest and reliable. Our refurbishmen...t works funded by MP Melissa McIntosh electoral commitment are being delivered on time. To think we started the major works 5 months ago and achieved so much is a testament to all involved. The issues are by coincidence only and we ask that everyone reading this understand that for our community to survive we must get our doors open and everyone back here enjoying the centre. We can say hand on heart that it is our number 1 goal, and we are losing sleep trying to navigate this sensitive and difficult situation. There are two urgent and unforeseen issues we need to urgently resolve. Issue 1 is we need to replace courts 3 and 4 due to a ruptured pipe and flooding that occurred 2 weeks ago. The works begin this week and may take 12-14 weeks. We have selected an all Australian timber and a reputable company to get the quickest resolution to reinstate these courts. Issue 2 is Fire Hydrant system works. There are several related issues, and they need to be worked through before the way forward can be determined. There are no workarounds, and we must adhere to all regulatory requirements. This issue is not about opinion, it is something that must be resolved for the safety and wellbeing of our patrons. As you can appreciate the PVRSC GM and Board is taking this matter seriously and prides itself in operating ethically and professionally and there are some things we simply cannot say or comment on as there might be confidential/sensitive information and circumstances involved. We will do our best to update our community ongoing when we can. Respectfully we are also not able to make any further comment or elaborate on the above information but are only motivated to get everyone back as soon as possible. Lastly, we really do appreciate your patience and understanding in advance and we are listening to how frustrated, disappointed and difficult it has been for everyone. We won't stop working hard to get you back in the building or working with others to find alternatives during this time. Sincerely GM

We can't wait to have everyone back here soon, but in the meantime, you can stay just as motivated by signing up to his online classes. Check it out!
