Congratulations to all students of PWDI for a wonderful performance yesterday - 14th December. Now entering 22years in 2020, Peter Wallace Dance Industry is excited to continue professional training in a safe, friendly and family environment for the community of dance. 18.01.2022 Dear parents and students of PWDI. As many of you are aware, the number of reported cases of COVID-19 is on the increase. Currently there are restrictions in place for large public gatherings and to be in alignment with Council regulations who implemented the closure of Community Halls, including Jessie Morris, PWDI has the regret to announce the temporarily closure of dance tuition as of Wednesday 18th March 2020. My priority is to maintain the duty of care to my students ...and their families as well as protect myself and the public. I am keeping up to date with developments and government recommendations. This is a challenging time for many people. Over the next few days you will receive an email with updates of the situation. 11.01.2022 EP 12 // PETER WALLACE Latest episode is LIVE So today’s episode features an interview I had with Peter Wallace quite a few months ago now, pre-COVID! ...I had been saving it for when the Moulin Rouge was coming out to conduct auditions in Melbourne this year, hosted at Peter’s studio. Since all things travel are now out of the question in the foreseeable future, I thought it was time to release the episode. If you’ve ever dreamt about dancing at the Moulin Rouge in Paris this is the episode for you. Consider it a bit like a Moulin Rouge history lesson! Peter spent 13 years in Paris working as a dancer and dance captain at the Moulin Rouge and Lido, and choreographer at La Nouvelle Eve. He is good friends with Janet Pharaoh (Artistic Director of Bal Du Moulin Rouge) and knows what she is looking for in a prospective dancer.
