12.01.2022 Team selection update. Firstly there has been a change to the Victorian events that are part of this years team trials events. The Victorian State Champs will now be held 11th-12th July at Munro The third trial event 3rd-4th October will now be at Cohuna Vic... So what about the current pandemic situation? As things currently stand all listed events are on. With the current level of restrictions and with advice provided from MAAA we can proceed as these events are small gatherings and provided that we take the precautions outlined with the current government advice. This of course could change, and we will provide advice closer to the event dates as required. You will appreciate that this situation is unprecedented, and it is largely unknown how far and for how long restrictions and protective measures will be needed. Our primary concern is the health and safety of our members and the public. Any decisions made to cancel or reschedule events will be made in consideration of the federal government and relevant state authorities mandates at the time and including any direction provided by MAAA. So as for the team selection process if the situation does change as we progress through the schedule, we will need to consider the options at the time, when and if we are forced to cancel or reschedule. Stay safe and well people. QMARA VMPRA SAMPRA

06.01.2022 Hope everyone is social distancing and prepping for the long road ahead. We have had a recent inquiry for the current Australian Rules for RC Pylon Racing. I have attached a link for the current rules so we can all REFRESH our minds on what is current and what is not. Update on Team Trials will be issued by end of April. In the meantime some more light reading.... Some other notes from Secretary Mick with the rules which are to be read in conjunction with resolutions passed at AMPRA AGM's at the link provided. Quote "Technically speaking the pylon rules on the MAAA website are the current Australian rules. The rules are Australia frozen and updated periodically at the MAAA national conference I believe the next rules cycle was due to be this year. The purpose of a rules cycle is to avoid constant change. The way we get around this at the AMPRA level is to pass resolutions at an AMPRA AGM and publish as standing resolutions. An addendum to the rules for our purposes and published with the AMPRA rules. Some notes: FA1 is technically what they fly in Vic in lieu of F3D. The F3D, F3T and F5D rules should be referenced from FAI/CIAM. F400 is still being raced in NSW and still a valid class of racing in Australia. QM & 1/2A are redundant but I will show these rules with an archive on our new website (for posterity)" Unquote https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoMsPRi5oWUSkl7aR0Lbi3mhmQLn?e=vgcBbb
