24.01.2022 Congratulations to our Year 10 Food Technology students on the amazing and elaborate cakes they created and decorated. Over several lessons, the girls planned their designs, made the cakes and prepared decorations. During the last week of school, the girls then completed their creations with levelling and crumb coating their cakes and the painstaking decorating took place. The cakes were then judged, and the ‘Mushroom’ was declared overall winner in a very competitive field. It should be noted that the entire cake is edible! #watchuschangetheworld #pymblelc

07.01.2022 Our Year 12 Economics students ventured into Sydney to visit the Reserve Bank of Australia and the Sydney offices of global professional services firm EY Australia. At the RBA, our girls toured the currency museum and heard presentations from graduate economists and macroeconomic modellers advising the RBA Board on monetary policy. At EY, Chief Economist Jo Masters provided a private sector perspective, enriching our students’ understanding of the dynamic nature of the economy. Students were also inspired by the experiences of some of EY's business leaders Lynn Kraus, Astrid Beemster and Jodie Fogale. It was a rare and memorable experience to hear the insights from these role models and take in the impressive view from EY's corporate floor, to finish off what was a highly valuable excursion. #watchuschangetheworld #pymblelc
