24.01.2022 If you missed out on last year's Japan Trip, and have been convinced by what you were seeing that it's something for you, let us know you're interested by filling out this form - https://pynsw.org.au/japan2020/ and we will follow up and answer your questions.

21.01.2022 Its the final day of the PY Japan Trip! Thanks for following along and for praying. Praise: Praise God for the positive response by the PY Team to the overall vision of the Japan Trip. Praise: Praise God for the work of the missionaries based in Japan and for evangelical churches as they minister and outreach to those who desperately need the gospel.... Prayer: for David and Angela Bell with Kevin Murray as they meet in Sydney to review possible future PY Japan Trips. Prayer: for the teams safe journey home and for those who are staying in Japan for an extended trip. Prayer: for the whole PY team as they continue to process their experiences in Japan.

21.01.2022 Some reflections from one of the team: Travelling with 13 younger people (& one older) can be daunting at times! => but so much generosity & willingness to help is shown so many times! Trains can be challenging => navigating in a different language, many different lines & so many people (at times) on the trains. BUT we havent lost anyone ... yet!! Its great to see our young adults looking out for each other & knowing they are ambassadors for our Lord!!... The food is delicious & so many & varied types (though tricky if you have some food issues!) Walking on footpaths mean watching for fast & erratic bicycles too! The autumn colours are superb: Japanese Maples, Ginkgos ... To see our group delighting in our Lords creation, enjoying our God & looking for ways to serve others first has been wonderful. Praise the Lord. Angela Bell, Team Leader.

20.01.2022 Thanks for continuing to pray for the PY Japan Trip. Praise: Praise God for the work of the Chiba City Church Plant team of Adam, Helane, Matt, and Carly as they reach out to the people of Chiba City and Chiba University. Praise: Praise God for the leadership of David and Angela Bell who have encouraged, guided the PY Vision Team throughout the journey in Japan and even nursed those who have come down with colds and soreness.... Prayer: for the Church Plant team in Chiba City as they continue to reach out to the people of Chiba City and Chiba University. Pray that they can find a Japanese Christian Worker who can partner them in their ministry to open up doors they cannot. Pray for their ministry at Chiba University and how they can overcome No Cult policy of the University to share the gospel, as the University believes Christianity is a cult. Prayer: for the safe return of the PY Team as most will be flying home Monday night. Pray for the safety of those team members who will continue their exploration of Japan after the trip has finished.

19.01.2022 We're keen to gather as many of the youth leaders at Presbyterian churches as we can to these new PY City events: will we see you there? The first event is at Epping; the other events this year will be up on FB soon: we're aiming for Wednesday nights in week 4 of term.

18.01.2022 The PY Japan Trip team had a great rest day. Praise: The team is rested after a day of fun. Praise: different team members have taken on extra responsibility of guiding the team around town and done so extremely well.... Prayer: for the team as they travel to Tokyo and for them to find their way around and settle well in their accomodation.

16.01.2022 We want to hear what is important to you in discipling young people for Christ in your local church. Therefore, we are inviting people from around the state to be part of our annual forum. This will be held on Zoom on Saturday morning 10am-12pm of 27 June, 2020. Will we see you there?

11.01.2022 Thanks for continuing to pray for our PY Japan Trip. Here are the latest prayer points: Praise: Tomoko and Nathans ministry in Japan. They have a simple strategy and that is to build relationships with people in the school, local shops and friendships. Prayer: for Nathan and Tomoko as they continue building relationships and breaking through cultural boundaries. Pray for their support as they are always looking for churches to partner their work in Japan.... Prayer: for the team as they split into two groups for some sight seeing and fun for safe journeys as they visit Universal Studios or Nara Deer Park. Prayer: for the team that they can all rest well before taking on the Tokyo part of the mission. Prayer: for our PY team leaders David and Angela that they can be refreshed during the teams day off in preparation for their continued guidance in Tokyo.

11.01.2022 We have our fourth PY City event coming up this Wednesday! This is a chance to connect with other youth leaders, to gain some further training and equipping in different areas, to be built up in faith and to pray together. If you were interested in coming please register on the link so that we can prepare.

09.01.2022 In this month's PULSE magazine you can read about the Online Mentor Equipping course that we run to help people be more confident and capable in their skills mentoring young people. The course is almost entirely online, but starts with a face-to-face day. We are running one of these courses in Sydney starting on Saturday 22 August, and another in Coffs starting on 19 September. Read more, and register your interest!

08.01.2022 Evening session starts at 8:45pm. Please pray!

08.01.2022 To all the youth leaders who are enjoying their first Friday night off for a long time - thanks for all your acts of service this year. Why not encourage your fellow youth leaders in the comments with something you're thankful for from this year at youth group?

07.01.2022 If you're thinking about going on the PYNSW Japan Trip (24/11/2020-8/12/2020), you need to fill in this form - https://pynsw.org.au/japan2020/ - tag someone who should come along this year!

07.01.2022 Please pray for the people attending this weekend's OMEC course in Coffs Harbour that they learn lots of useful things about being a mentor to youth, and to leaders of youth.

07.01.2022 Planning your youth group year? Don't forget to look after your leaders! Add PY City into your calendar to keep your youth leaders encouraged and trained. It would be great to have you there.

04.01.2022 Great to be a part of the MTS G8 national conference, in partnership with the METRO committee and with Christ College as we provide Timothy Partnership Certificate units to some of the scholarship apprentices. This conference runs each year in January, and ministry apprentices and their trainers gather from the 8 states and territories of Australia to be trained and encouraged as they learn how to multiply disciples through ministry apprentices. Thanks in particular to Murray Smith for coming down to explain the New Testament to this room of apprentices.

04.01.2022 Getting ready for PY Encourage Hunter, starting up at 10am. Pray that the leaders from churches in Hunter and Central Coast would come away challenged and encouraged.

04.01.2022 Reflections on the PY Japan trip from the one voice on the team we havent heard from yet: What a great privilege to travel with these people from PY on this APWM/PY Japan 2019 trip. Any new group can be a bit clunky at first and we are no exception: new country, never travelled before, various ages (although most under 26 years). But despite this the group developed a good sense of community. It was encouraging to see people stepping up to take responsibility and develop co...nfidence in team leadership. Highlights were meeting Japanese Churches in Osaka and assisting with the Osaka Presbyterian Church outreach event using Aussie flavour and craft as the attraction: time with Church Planters at Chiba (outskirts of Tokyo) and to share our sight-seeing experiences with this wonderful group. I am looking forward to the next APWM/PY Japan Mission Vision Trip. David Bell, Team Leader. See more

03.01.2022 An important update for SRE teachers.

01.01.2022 Yesterday was a travel day for the PY Japan Trip, so we are a hit short of photos. Nonetheless, here are some prayer points: Praise: Praise God that the team managed to travel from Osaka to Tokyo without any major problems. Praise: Praise God that the PY team built a lasting relationship with Tomoko and Nathan Stewart and the people of Osaka Christ Church during our time in Osaka.... Prayer: for God to prepare the people of Tokyo for the work of Matt and Carly and the PY mission team.

01.01.2022 Thinking about Bible College in 2021? Have a look at this series of events from Christ College. The first one is this Wednesday.
