He worked in the old Maybanke Community Centre, and now manages the Pyrmont Community Centre in John Street. We need volunteers to assist with collecting and distributing furniture and household items. Our team has developed strict guidelines to ensure the safety of our volunteers - and of course those donating and receiving the goods - during Covid 19.... New Opening hours: Monday Friday : 9:30 am 5:00pm Activities / Programs: Library Link - Mondays only Book Exchange Monday - Friday Table Tennis Tuesday - Friday Drawing Group - Thursday Stitching Group - Friday Community Bookings ( no commercial bookings) Gym Monday - Friday Please book before you attend our Centre. Making a booking ensures that we can manage our venue capacity and won’t need to turn you away at the door. 14.01.2022 Invitation to Zoom for Community Dinner with speaker Winton Higgins - 5-6.30pm for Drinks and Chat Dear All,... On Friday 28th August Pyrmont Supports would have been catering for the community dinner before Covid-19 came along and made this impossible. In lieu of the dinner Pyrmont Supports is organising Drinks and Chat via Zoom and Winton Higgins who lives in Fleetview will be the speaker at 5.30pm. Winton will talk about his historic novel which brings to life the development of the Spit Fire plane before the Second World War. The book is called Love Death Chariot of Fire. Everyone in Pyrmont is welcome to join the Zoom meeting. Here is the link for the Zoom on Friday night. The plan is to get people to say hello between 5 and 5.30pm. Then Winton Higgins will talk between 5.30 and 6pm. We would then have questions which can be put in the chat room. We will plan to finish by 6.30pm. From Monday 30 November, borrowing services are available at all our library locations. Most branches are also open to visit for up to 4 hours per day to study, work, use the computers, read and browse the collection. At our other locations, including Town Hall Library Express, Ultimo and Waterloo libraries, borrowing is available using... a contactless reserve and collect service.
