I may not see you well, the colour of your face or the ...clothes you wear, but I can help the world find peace by my example." 13-year-old Joseph Critchlow from Liverpool, United Kingdom, won the 2019-20 Lions International Peace Essay Contest. 19.01.2022 Leos Share #WhyLeo in the 2019 Leo Video Contest Once a year, through the International Leo Video Contest, we offer Leos the opportunity to showcase the impact they make within their communities. This year, we wanted to celebrate what it means to be a Leo, so we asked Leos to show us your why with the theme #WhyLeo. We were simply awestruck at the quality and creativity of the video submissions and how these young peoples passion for being a Leo shined through their fellow...ship and their service. #201Q1 #Q1Leos #AnotherLionsProject #201Q1MonthlyProjects #YouthProjects #LeosClubs #LeosAwarenessMonth -> https://tinyurl.com/sumgjml

17.01.2022 Can you believe it's that time already? 2020 has been challenging in lots of ways, but the good news is the Lions Christmas cake is here to stay. Perfected over... the years, the traditional Lions Australia Christmas cake recipe is packed with high quality ingredients and 50% fruit but there’s one magic ingredient in this cake that sets it apart from the rest. The Lions Christmas Cake makes a difference. With all proceeds going back to Lions Clubs and initiatives across the country, the cakes help fund a range of vital projects in the community. We are also pleased to confirm we have found a new supplier following the closure of Top Taste bakery which has been producing the cakes for the past 35 years. Top Taste has produced their final bake of Lions Cakes for the 2020 season and from next year the Christmas cakes will be produced by Victorian-based Traditional Foods. We look forward to working with Traditional Foods to carry forth the great quality and taste that you've all come to love. Find a cake near you: https://lionsclubs.org.au/activities/products/cakes/

16.01.2022 10 Ways to Commemorate ANZAC Day at Home in 2020

15.01.2022 This afternoon, QSLC President Sophie and MD201 Leo Chairperson Toni Lanphier delivered the product of our service project from this year's conference. During ...the conference, our Leos and Lions packed pencil cases with an assortment of stationery to donate as a part of the Ronald McDonald "Books on Beds" project. This project sees each child staying within a Ronald McDonald facility receive an activity pack including one of our pencil cases. Belinda O'Neill, the Education Officer at Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia was very excited to accept our donation. A special thank you to CQ Leos and Mitchelton State High School Leos for their generous additional donation that allowed us to purchase numerous activity booklets and additional stationery. #proudtobealeo

11.01.2022 SURVEY TIME! We recently worked with Australian Lions Hearing Dogs to develop a short survey titled 'Lions and Family Aspirations'. The primary purpose of this anonymous survey is to better inform potential sponsors or companies that may be interested in supporting our organisation and programs financially. ... The survey questions range from general demographic information to more specific questions regarding your lifestyle and spending choices. Once again, this data will remain anonymous at all times but will greatly assist the Multiple District and our project/foundation leaders when it comes to seeking corporate sponsorship. Not only do we want members to participate, but in order to establish an accurate representation of Lions, we would be grateful if you could please invite your spouse and adult children to take part too, whether they are Lions or not. Help us better inform our potential sponsors by having your say now: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/Lionsinterests

07.01.2022 Happy International Youth Day to our Leos and younger Lions! #201Q1 #Q1Lions #Leos #InternationalYouthDay #YoungLions #LeoLions #YouthDay #HappyYouthDay The the...me of International Youth Day 2020, Youth Engagement for Global Action seeks to highlight the ways in which the engagement of young people at the local, national and global levels is enriching national and multilateral institutions and processes, as well as draw lessons on how their representation and engagement in formal institutional politics can be significantly enhanced. As the United Nations turns 75, and with only 10 years remaining to make the 2030 Agenda a reality for all, trust in public institutions is eroding. At the international level, against the backdrop of an increasingly polarized world, the international system of governance is currently undergoing a crisis of legitimacy and relevance. In particular, this crisis is rooted in the need to strengthen the capacity of the international system to act in concert and implement solutions to pressing challenges and threats (examples include some of the worst contemporary conflicts and humanitarian emergencies, such as Syria and Myanmar, as well as global challenges, such as the COVID-19 outbreak and climate change).
