23.01.2022 We just received the very exciting news that Amy is the recipient of the ANU College of Engineering & Computer Science Advanced Computing Research & Development Female Excellence Scholarship valued at $45,000! She was also offered early admission to study a Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Research & Development) (Honours) at the Australian National University. Congratulations Amy, an incredible achievement!

21.01.2022 Its National Volunteer Week this week and during these unprecedented times, students have had the opportunity to get involved in some new CAS Service experiences. 16.01.2022 Congratulations to Year 12 student Angie Zhou who has been selected to represent Australia in Biology at the 2020 International Science Olympiad. Angie is the only student in Queensland to be selected to a 2020 Olympiad team and the first Queensland student to make the biology Olympiad team in 7 years. We wish Angie and the Australian Biology Team all the best as they take on rival teams from approximately 80 countries from around the world in the virtual 2020 International Science Olympiad. 14.01.2022 We recently received news that Year 12 student Soham received his dream offer from Australian National University to study a Bachelor of Advanced Computing (Research & Development) (Honours) commencing 2021. This is an incredible achievement having decided to study the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program with QAHS and using the CAS program to pursue his high-level interest in Computer Science. A true IB Learner and QA Bright Mind, Soham actively sought opportunities to further his career interest in computer science, including participating in the National Computer Science School Program with the University of Sydney over the 2019-2020 summer break. Congratulations Soham, a well-deserved achievement. We look forward to following Sohams exciting journey beyond the Academy.

08.01.2022 After a challenging season with the cancellation of the @Gold Coast Debating Competition in Term 2, our Debating teams finally had the chance to compete in a mini-competition. Debating craft at its best was on show with our Senior B Team taking out the Grand Final! Congratulations Eden, Harrison, Louisa and Abi who were awarded the winners of the Grand Final debate arguing the negative case for the topic We should implement universal basic income. Well done to all our debaters for their commitment and perseverance this year.

02.01.2022 We congratulate Year 11 student Benjamin who has been selected to attend the 2020 Queensland University of Technology (QUT) Young Accelerators STEM Camp. Benjamin was selected from a highly competitive field and will participate alongside other high-achieving Year 11 students in a week long camp over the upcoming September holidays. The QUT Young Accelerators Program is committed to inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders. During the camp, Benjamin will engage in solving some of the major challenges facing our society and planet today. Camp attendees will also have the opportunity to explore future study and career options inside QUTs world-class facilities.
