25.01.2022 Were introducing new wellbeing measures to ensure your health and safety and give you peace of mind as we prepare for flying to return.

25.01.2022 As you may know, due to Government restrictions, we have closed all Qantas operated lounges across our network. We want to offer our customers as much flexibility as possible during these challenging times, so well be applying an automatic six-month extension to paid Qantas Club members who held an active membership on 23 March 2020. Were also extending most complimentary lounge invitations by six months. You can find more information at: https://bit.ly/3az2H4S Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

25.01.2022 100 years ago today, Qantas began from the remote dust of outback Australia. This is our story...

24.01.2022 You may have heard of Paul McGinness and Hudson Fysh, the two World War One veterans who founded Qantas 100 years ago, but there are many more remarkable people who have made us who we are today. Here are just a few of them...

20.01.2022 Qantas crew have donned some iconic uniforms throughout our 100-year history. In fact, we’ve commissioned 10 uniforms since 1938. Here’s a collection of the most colourful have you spotted some of these in our latest safety video?

20.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful partners Australian Girls Choir and Gondwana National Choirs for keeping our spirits up. They havent been able to practice together for a while but recorded this from their lounge rooms and backyards. We cant wait to be welcoming you onboard again soon, and to take you to every corner of our beautiful country: to explore, for holidays and to see family, friends and loved ones who youve missed over the past few months. A big thank you to all the Mums this Mother's Day weekend, including our Cabin Crew member, Antoinette who features in this video with her daughter Zahra.

19.01.2022 Airline marketing has changed a lot over the last 100 years. We’ve dug into our archives to uncover some of the prints, posters and certificates we’ve shared throughout our lifetime. Some are wonderful, some are ~unique~, but we believe all capture the magic of travel.

18.01.2022 Australians love to travel. With summer holidays and Christmas just around the corner, many of us cant wait to see loved ones and support our regional communities, local businesses and our tourism industry. But that can only happen if our domestic borders are safely opened again. ... The health response to this crisis is our most important priority. And like many Australians, we believe a shared framework should determine when our borders open. If you want to be reunited with loved ones after months of being apart, or to have a holiday in our incredible backyard, show your support at bit.ly/safelyopenborders

18.01.2022 Qantas 787 pilot Nick Thorne is part of the team operating a rescue flight today to bring home 180 Australians and New Zealanders who have been stuck in Buenos Aires due to the Coronavirus situation. It is 80 years since his late grandfather, Keith Walter Thorne, was there during World War II as a Lieutenant in the Australian Navy. Nick said, Im very proud to be playing my part to bring fellow Aussies and Kiwi neighbours home during this pandemic on what is a special day for both countries. Its also special for me to go to a place where my grandfather spent time during the Second World War. Ill have his photo with me so we can spend ANZAC Day together.

17.01.2022 Watch as our Qantas engineers put our aircraft through their paces to keep them ready for service when they're not flying.

17.01.2022 Our crew have shared some of their amazing videos and photos from their recent rescue flight to Buenos Aires, where they brought home more than 180 Australians and New Zealanders who had been stuck in South America due to Coronavirus. See what went on behind the scenes here

17.01.2022 We know staying at home can be tough so weve put together a care package to make this time a little more comfortable. Send one to a friend, family member, or even yourself, relax in our Business Class pyjamas with a cup of tea, choccy biccy and some other goodies. We may not be able to take to the skies right now, but there are better days ahead. Shop the Qantas Care Pack on the Qantas Store: https://bit.ly/qfcarepack

16.01.2022 Some of our Frequent Flyers have been posting their efforts to recreate their favourite meals from inflight and lounges. We thought we would make it easier by getting Qantas chef Neil Perry to give a step-by-step guide for some of our most popular dishes. First stop is Asia for a tasty crab omelette from the First Lounge menu. Its all in the sizzle apparently.

15.01.2022 Heres how were taking care of our planes while we wait to take to the skies with you again. Read more here https://bit.ly/hibernatingplanes

10.01.2022 As the national carrier, were pleased to help form part of the minimum domestic and regional network supported by the Australian Government. We will operate flights to every capital city and 36 regional ports across the country. This means theres more planes in the sky and communities can stay connected. Were also using the bellyspace on our aircraft to move critical freight around the country. A big thank you to all our staff in the air and on the ground for making these flights possible. Read more here https://bit.ly/2RK8WeO

04.01.2022 92 years ago tomorrow, the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia was founded. Qantas has a proud history with the RFDS - from the service's first flight in 1928 to today, with some Qantas Group employees working with the service during the COVID-19 pandemic. Qantas supplied the first aircraft to the organisation in May 1928, VH-UER a De Havilland DH.50, known as Victory. ... The first official flight took off from a base at Cloncurry on the 17th May, with Qantas flying doctor pilot, Arthur Affleck, and Dr K St Vincent Welch travelling to Julia Creek in Central Queensland.
