16.01.2022 Cold and windy conditions tested the resolve of the u11 and u12 Academy Youth Boys at Tramway oval on Wednesday, 19th August. However, their positive attitude and team spirit enabled them to display some fine AFL football throughout the Senior Day Experience.
15.01.2022 The final u15 Academy Cup game was scheduled on Wednesday, 16 September at Tramway Oval, Moore Park. Squads were selected based on each player's chronological age, so as to minimise the relative age effect. Those born in the later months of 2005, were listed to play in the first game; with those players born in the earlier months to play in the second game. ... While this didn't account for players who may or may not be physically mature based on their age, it did minimise some of the advantages older players may have over younger players. It was a great night to watch these young men do what they genuinely love doing, pushing themselves and others to be the best they can be. We would like to thank the players and their parents for the enormous commitment they make to be part of the Sydney Swans Academy program. It is deeply appreciated.
14.01.2022 We've been lucky to see this guy grow as a player and person through our QBE Sydney Swans Academy since he was 10 years old. We can't wait to see Braeden go even further as he starts his AFL career!

Parents and guardians must be commended too, for the encouragement and support they provide their daughters..... Well done to all involved.

02.01.2022 It was better conditions today for football. The Swans Futures squad surrendered their 3/4 lead to a fast finishing Giants, who hit the lead late and hung on by 5 points. Flynn dominated the match, with his high marking, long kicking and hard running. Lenny Robin was a strong marking target in the forward line and Rogers and Gabila impressed with their work rate, with the latter kicking 4 goals. The Swans Top End squad proved too strong for the Giants today, with an even con...tribution from all players. Thorne, Gulden, Campbell, Brewer, Sheather, Swaney and Roseby were dominant in the midfield, getting good service from our two Ruckman, McAndrew and Babic. Huisstede and Puncher provided strong marking options up forward, finishing with 7 goals between them. And in defence, Wilson and Geddes offered plenty of dash and rebound, with Gaden and Bauer giving the Giants key forwards very little. All up, every Swans player had their moments and contributed to the teams 53 point victory. Futures: Giants - 9:14:68. Swans - 9:9:63. Goals - K.Gabila 4, L. Robin 2, B. Middleton, j.Woodford, A.Jacobs. Best - Flynn, Robin, Gabila, Rogers, Wright, Wood, Endemann. Top End: Swans - 13:8:87. Giants - 5:4:34. Goals - R.van Huisstede 4, L.Puncher 3, P.Roseby 2, B.Campbell, A.Ball, O.Bird, N.Brewer. Best - Thorne, Gulden, Campbell, Huisstede, Brewer, Gaden, Geddes.
