06.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be NAIDOC Week 2020 recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. The 2020 National NAIDOC Poster, Shape of Land, was designed by Tyrown Waigana, a Noongar and Saibai Islander man.... Tyrown’s artwork tells the story of how the Rainbow Serpent came out of the Dreamtime to create this land. It is represented by the snake and it forms the shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land. #QCCS #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC

02.01.2022 Look at how much fun the Prince Charles Kindergarten children had with their science experiment and learning how rain is formed. #STEM #brisbanechildcare #Earlylearning #QCCS

02.01.2022 How to make rain clouds at home 1. Fill a clear cup with water. 2. Add a layer of shaving cream. 3. Add several drops of blue food colouring.... 4. When the cloud gets too heavy, the drops fall through as rain! This is a great experiment for the children to learn that when water droplets grow heavy in the sky, gravity pulls them down from the clouds as rain. #QCCS #rainclouds #science #experiment #scienceforkids #childcare #earlychildhoodeducation #brisbane #QLD Little Scientists
