18.01.2022 Local Police in Gladstone, Tannum Sands and Calliope are encouraging the community to help prevent crime and make the community safer by registering their secur...ity cameras. Police regularly use security cameras within the community to investigate crime and solve serious offences. Knowing the location of established security cameras within the community maximises the efficiency of an investigation and minimises the loss of potential evidence. Locating cameras can be time consuming and resource intensive but is crucial, particularly in serious investigations. Police will not have access to security camera footage. The location of security cameras will allow Police to map the area if a crime was to occur. If you have a security camera network installed at your property and would like to share its location with Police please send a brief email to the below address and a member of our Crime Prevention Team will be in contact with you. 10.01.2022 Have you ever wondered what advocacy work ACWW has actually done, or struggled to explain our advocacy to others? We've created this for you. As Women Walk the ...World approaches, and we look toward raising funds for Pennies for Friendship, it is important that we all understand why advocacy is vital for ensuring the sustained impact of all other initiatives, including projects. The success of our projects is directly dependent on impactful, strategic advocacy, because it is through advocacy that we can change the context in which rural women live and work, ensuring long-term, lasting progress. Visit https://www.acww.org.uk/resources_publications.html to download the Advocacy Impact Report (and remember, if you share this post, copy and paste the text!) See more
